1. Carson Palmer - Eli (should improve consistancy).

2. Drew Bledsoe - Bledose (TO effect - 1 season only!).

3. Kevin Jones - Caddy (I doubt his durability).

4. Warrick Dunn - Dillon (Should be good value. I see Maroney as a good thing, taking pressure off).

5. Thomas Jones - Dare I say, Jones?

6. Willie Parker - Can we say Bush here?

7. Stephen Davis/Jerome Bettis - Lendale (at least).

8. Larry Fitzgerald - Would say Edwards here but for his injury. I guess Matt Jones, but not as good as Fitz was last year.

9. Ashley Lelie - I'm not crazy about Roy Williams - health reasons, not talent.

10. Rod Smith/Terry Glenn/Keenan McCardell et al - Joe Horn (If he falls to the 7th or so, it'll be a steal).

11. Santana Moss/Joey Galloway - Driver? (this is a tough one).

5. Thomas Jones (RB who holds off competition and ends up being a great value) Thomas Jones. I think he'll do it again, especially after his emotional plea to still be the man.

6. Willie Parker (1st or 2nd year RB who makes a significant impact) Parker was an out of nowhere guy - we nailed it, but others outside of fantasy circles had no idea. I'm thinking this could be

7. Stephen Davis/Jerome Bettis (TD vulture) Brandon Jacobs and Tony Richardson, MIN

8. Larry Fitzgerald (promising young WR who takes another big step forward) If we're talking possession guy, not the long baller then I'd say Ernest Wilford, but he won't reach Fitz' numbers, but he will surprise.

9. Ashley Lelie (promising young WR who many people expect to break out but ends up regressing) You mean the annual Donte Stallworth award? Antwaan Randle El

13. Greg Jones 2004 = Eric Shelton 2005 = Lendale White 2006 (overhyped 250 # 2nd round RB that does live up to expectations)

I am with tytyty on this one, how about a little explanation on some of these picks. Curious as to why so many feel Ronnie Brown will falter and be similar to K. Jones last year. Everything seems to be in place for R. Brown to be the man. K. Jones was a joke last season. R. Brown is 5-10 back on most peoples board so he is a significant pick and to see that many people listing him as Kevin Jones comparison is a little suprising.

For me it's pretty simple:- Brown is almost completely unproven. He only had two 100 yard games last season. - Although he was a high draft pick, I have doubts about his instincts and his running style. - Culpepper has looked mediocre without Randy Moss. He could struggle, which would put more pressure on Brown. That's the bad news. The good news for Brown is that he should get a ton of touches if he can stay healthy. I definitely think he'll have a better year in 2006 than Kevin Jones did in 2005, but I wouldn't take him as high as he's going. I definitely wouldn't pass on guys like Cadillac Williams, Rudi Johnson, or Edgerrin James for Brown. I'd lump him into the "talented, but questionable" group with Kevin Jones and Willis McGahee.

Bill Bellichick calls Ronnie Brown the best RB to come into the NFL since L. Tomlinson. I'll take his word on it, thanks.. :bye: Brown rushed for 'only' two 100 yard games? yeah, as a PART TIME player..remember,they had Ricky on the team..as for Carnell Williams: in a F/t role as a starting RB for TB, he barely beat out Ronnie Brown's stats, even with Brown playing only part time..as for Rudi, I'm with you 100%, the guy is an underrated star and fantasy gem, no question. James I'd take before Brown, too..

but lets not make Ron Brown out to be chopped liver here..the Fish have one of , if not the best o-line coaches in the game, Hudson Houck..he previously coached, you guessed it, SD's o-line..

Now lets look at who the Fish play against in 2005:

2 games vs. lowly Bills defense

2 games vs lowly Jets defense

2 games vs. a suddenly old and slow Pats defense set to take a step backwards in 2006..

they also have games against soft run defenses , such as St Louis, Tenn, Houston, GB, KC, Minny, Detroit..

they also play Bills and Jets during fantasy playoffs, week's 14/15..

it doesn't get any better than that..

It's more than just the weapons with Palmer. 2005 was Palmer's second full season as a starter. I see a bright future for Rivers, but I'm not ready to call him the next Dan Marino. The better comparison to Rivers in 2006 is Palmer in 2004.

Palmer's 2004 totals were 2897 passing yards/18 TDs, plus 47 rushing yards/1 TD for a weekly average of 16+ ppg (FBG scoring). Totals like these would have ranked around 20th in 2005 (in ppg). Performing at 16 ppg for 16 games would have placed 13th in 2005 for total points.

Not bad, but significantly short of performing like Palmer in 2005, either.

1. (young QB who takes a huge step forward) Phillip Rivers - he is being dropped in a great situation and people who say there is no one like Palmer are the same ones that said Palmer didn't have the weapons. We may still be one year away from Rivers turning into a total stud though. I also like what I've seen of Cutler so far but obviously he's not starting yet.

2. (veteran QB who ends up being a great value) McNair or Warner.

3. (young RB who many expect to turn into a stud but ends up regressing) Cadillac Williams. It's not a talent thing so much as Gruden just likes to use many different backs.

4. (veteran RB who many think will decline but shows that he has plenty left in the tank) Jamal Lewis. I don't know what happened last year but he looks like his old self so far this year. And with McNair at the helm, he should have more room to run.

5. (RB who holds off competition and ends up being a great value) Foster or TJ. I'm not high on Benson. He has never seemed to have the burst TJ showed all last year. Fox loves his vets and made Foster wait years for the chance even when it was obvious he was better than Davis. I worry that he will do the same to Williams.

6. (1st or 2nd year RB who makes a significant impact) Vernand Morency. I doubt we'll see much more of DD.

7. (TD vulture) Alstott comes to mind.

8. (promising young WR who takes another big step forward) Roy Williams. He has too much talent and Martz will find a way to exploit it. I also like Braylen Edwards a lot but there QB situation is a mess. Oh and Vincent Jackson will be a monster but this may be one year too early.

9. (promising young WR who many people expect to break out but ends up regressing) Fitzgerald. Not enough balls to go around here. I think they will move the ball and score a bit but Edge will get his and it won't leave enough for Fitz to live up to the expectations. I also think Reggie Brown is getting too much hype. He hasn't shown enough to warrant it yet (which pains me to say since I have him in my dynasty league).

10. (veteran WR who many think will decline but shows that he has plenty left in the tank) Ike Bruce and Eric Moulds. Bruce is about as consistent as you can get. People give up on older receivers too quick. St Louis will move the ball and Bruce will get his. Moulds has fallen off and people have forgotten about him but Buffalo's offense has been awful which helped in his decline. I expect a bit of a bounce back and similar numbers to Johnson.

11. (WR ranked anywhere from 15-30 in the pre-season who surprises even his biggest supporters and puts up monster numbers) Derrick Mason. You can't underestimate the comfort level he and McNair have together.

12. (TE who takes a big step forward) McMichael and Troupe. McMichael has always been a stud but this year he will break out with a much better QB and offense. Troupe is a 2nd year TE in a TE friendly system. Everyone gets high on rookies but this guy has as much receiving talent as all but Gates and Gonzo.

1. Carson Palmer (young QB who takes a huge step forward)

C.Simms - I've liked him since preseason his rookie year (for what its worth, I couldn't stand his dad)

2. Drew Bledsoe (veteran QB who ends up being a great value)

Brad freakin' Johnson!!! Am I the only one?

3. Kevin Jones (young RB who many expect to turn into a stud but ends up regressing)

Caddy. Alstott returns to reap the goalline touches coupled w/ an improved passing game and durability concerns.

4. Warrick Dunn (veteran RB who many think will decline but shows that he has plenty left in the tank)

For lack of candidates, I say F.Taylor. He's the only one that has ?s about age, not just injury. Nobody seems to think Tiki will decline, and I think Dillon loses his job.

5. Thomas Jones (RB who holds off competition and ends up being a great value)

Chris Brown. I do like L.White, but a healthy Brown is better in my opinion.

6. Willie Parker (1st or 2nd year RB who makes a significant impact)

Bush is too easy, so I go with Moroney. As I said, he looks much better than Dillon did last year and does so far this year.

7. Stephen Davis/Jerome Bettis (TD vulture)

Known - Duckett. Forgotten - Alstott. Under the radar - V.Haynes looks like he should get the goal line/short yardage as well as 3rd down duties for Pittsburgh. I'm still not impressed w/ Parker's power and toughness and Staley looks burnt out.

8. Larry Fitzgerald (promising young WR who takes another big step forward)

Many to list here. My biggest jumps include M.Jones, Sammy Parker, J.Cotchery & M.Jenkins.

9. Ashley Lelie (promising young WR who many people expect to break out but ends up regressing)

Mark Clayton. McNair's chemistry w/ Mason is too good to overlook. I still like Clayton, but a healthy Heap and Mason will take too many of Clayton's targets.

10. Rod Smith/Terry Glenn/Keenan McCardell et al (veteran WR who many think will decline but shows that he has plenty left in the tank)

The aforementioned D.Mason. This dude was a 4th round FF pick two years ago w/ McNair. They've been hooking up so far in preseason. I.Bruce is my favorite old guy this year though. (T.O. is not expected to decline so is not included)

11. Santana Moss/Joey Galloway (WR ranked anywhere from 15-30 in the pre-season who surprises even his biggest supporters and puts up monster numbers)

I'll continue to support Mason, and will include L.Evans as well.

12. Chris Cooley (TE who takes a big step forward)

Winslow. How can he not take a big step forward, though he is not forgotten at this point. For a sleeper, I'll go w/ C.Anderson - OAK. Brooks has made a habit of making decent TEs look like monsters.

1. Carson Palmer (young QB who takes a huge step forward)

Rex Grossman? No one I feel like gambling on.

2. Drew Bledsoe (veteran QB who ends up being a great value)

Jake Plummer

3. Kevin Jones (young RB who many expect to turn into a stud but ends up regressing)

Reggie Bush. Obviously he can't "regress", but I think he's the most likely young RB being taken in the top 2 rounds to significantly underperform his draft position.

4. Warrick Dunn (veteran RB who many think will decline but shows that he has plenty left in the tank)

Warrick Dunn. Barber and Dunn are the two I can think of, but obviously not many people expect a big decline out of Barber.

5. Thomas Jones (RB who holds off competition and ends up being a great value)

Mike Bell.

6. Willie Parker (1st or 2nd year RB who makes a significant impact)

Mike Bell again. He's going to finish the season as the #1 rookie RB in the league.

7. Stephen Davis/Jerome Bettis (TD vulture)

T.J. Duckett's always a fantastic pick here.

8. Larry Fitzgerald (promising young WR who takes another big step forward)

If you count him, then Javon Walker, who is going to surprise a lot of people coming off the knee injury. Otherwise, Lee Evans.

9. Ashley Lelie (promising young WR who many people expect to break out but ends up regressing)

Chris Chambers. Hasn't had a better than 50% catch rate since 2002.

10. Rod Smith/Terry Glenn/Keenan McCardell et al (veteran WR who many think will decline but shows that he has plenty left in the tank)

New season, same names. Rod Smith, Terry Glenn, and Keenan McCardell. Throw in Kennison and Keyshawn Johnson, too.

11. Santana Moss/Joey Galloway (WR ranked anywhere from 15-30 in the pre-season who surprises even his biggest supporters and puts up monster numbers)

Javon Walker.

12. Chris Cooley (TE who takes a big step forward)

Tony Scheffler. The more I hear about him, the more I'm convinced that he's going to have an impact THIS YEAR

1. Carson Palmer (young QB who takes a huge step forward)

Jason Campbell

2. Drew Bledsoe (veteran QB who ends up being a great value)

Jon Kitna, Brian Griese, Michael Vick

3. Kevin Jones (young RB who many expect to turn into a stud but ends up regressing)

Steven Jackson, Lamont Jordan

4. Warrick Dunn (veteran RB who many think will decline but shows that he has plenty left in the tank)

Warrick Dunn

5. Thomas Jones (RB who holds off competition and ends up being a great value)

Dominic Rhodes

6. Willie Parker (1st or 2nd year RB who makes a significant impact)

Mike Bell

7. Stephen Davis/Jerome Bettis (TD vulture)

8. Larry Fitzgerald (promising young WR who takes another big step forward)

9. Ashley Lelie (promising young WR who many people expect to break out but ends up regressing)

Lee Evans
