The Jets and Patriots are both 8-2. Six games to go. Who will take it?

Jets last six games:

vs Cin

at NE

vs Mia

at Pit

at Chi

Buf

Patriots last six games:

at Det

NYJ

at Chi

GB

at Buf

Mia

Obviously, that game in 13 days is the big one. I think the Jets are a slight better team right now, but the Patriots have the big game at home plus a slightly more favorable schedule, so I will go with them. I do think that home field is more important for the Patriots, as the Jets are seemingly better on the road than at home, and the Patriots under Belichick have never gone on a playoff run by winning multiple road games, which the Jets did last year.

Pats defense is going to crumble in the playoffs if not sooner. Manning gave them that win last week. I like the Jets.
This is what makes me chuckle (and it's not just what MOP is saying). The Jets defense puked on their shoes even more than the Pats did this week, yet somehow the Pats defense got lucky while the Jets staged some great victory for the ages. Who is a better team to have beaten (HOU or IND)? Which is better, giving up the lead althogther and then having to come back, or never giving up the lead at all?Say what you want about the Pats, but it's conceivable with a win next week that NE would have beaten ALL of this year's AFC playoff teams (NYJ, IND, PIT, BAL, SD).The Pats have all their tough games at home (where they have been mostly unbeatable) and still have NYJ, GB, and MIA left. On the road they face DET, CHI, and BUF. If they beat the Jets, I think NE takes the AFC East and gets the #1 seed as they would hold the tiebreaker against pretty much everyone else.

Can't argue with any of that.......The Shonn Green fumble did hurt the D as well.As a fan though, I gotta hope an pray the Jets defense is underachieving right now and hasn't hit it's stride - Though I have said that for 4 weeks straight. One saving grace overall to me is that the weakness right now seems to be the defense and that's the coaches specialty... Rex Ryan and the entire defense is being called to the matt right now. They are saying the right things, they left this game this week as if THEY lost it. They are embarrassed 8-2 record or not, they know they have a lot of work to do and things to fix.The fact that Sanchez is being given the opportunity to bail them out AND coming through is tremendous for his growth and confidence IMO.Kinda reminds me of the 2001 Pats when every week to me felt like WTF  Every time I thought they lost a game Brady bailed them out all the way to the end.The Pats coaching is just incredible though - They seem to be able to change personell and game plans weekly and on the fly... Hey lets let one TE be the star today.. Ok... Now the other one.. Ok. How about that 150lb ex-Jet - sure.... The offensive play calling always seems logical as opposed to the Jets or most other teams I watch that just seem perplexing at times - never the ###### Pats - They are always on and always taking advantage of what a defense gives them.Jets can't look past Cincy... Short week, a few injuries. They have to get this W otherwise you lose that and then get spanked in NE and all of a sudden New York and the media is in Free Fall mode.
