No way the Giants beat GB in GB. Favre won't let that happen.. Good luck to whoever wins in the Superbowl.Remember this coming from a guy that just knew the Colts would beat NE this week, LOL
The one advantage the Packers have over every other team in the league is Favre's will. He can just make things happen. (Note: this is not sarcasm. The guy is the embodiment of everything football).
This one will be close. I can't imagine Eli Manning NOT playing well here (he seems to play well when everyone doubts him) so the pressure may be on Favre to match him, and with the occassional "WTF??" games Favre can have, this is no guarantee.
Giants biggest strength is their pass rush off the edges. Packers two best Olinemen are their tackles. Clifton and Tauscher are both very good players. Tauscher and Bubba Franks shut out the Defensive Player of the Year last week in Patrick Kerney. No tackles, no sacks, no assists. Bubba and Clifton are going to give Osi all he can handle. Tauscher has matched up well in the past with Strahan as well.
Giants should be able to run the ball some with Jacobs and Bradshaw, but I think their passing game completely falls apart in the cold. Forecast calls for about 3 degrees at gametime. Winds are supposed to be moderate 5-10mph. Favre has been there and done that. He won't pass for 300+, but 180-240 is likely. Eli will probably have trouble breaking 125 yards.
Packers also won't be as foolish as the Cowboys were. With 3:07 to go in the third quarter, Cowboys were up 17-14 and just got the ball. Marion Barber had 22 carries for 121 yards at that point.
Dallas ran 29 more plays and 24 of them were passes (83%). They didn't score again. It was like they forgot what was working for them.
I can promise you that if Grant is having a good day the Packers won't forget about him if its close in the 4th quarter.
