Who Comes Out Of Nowhere To Help Win Championships? (1 Viewer)

Yeah but is he really out of nowhere?
That's a fair point and one of the reasons I did not list him in my respond in this thread earlier, was more focused on players you can grab off the waiver wire and he was not available in any of my leagues.

But he was giving up for dead just a few short weeks ago, when he was available on some of my leagues waivers. I posted him in a WDIS question I think just two weeks ago, before the Tampa game in week 13, and the response was pretty much you can't start Thielen. So I can get behind the notion to some he's "out of nowhere" despite his past accomplishments.

In particular with him, provided he can stay healthy, he has an outstanding match-up in what is most leagues championship week 17 against Tampa. That's a great match-up in general, maybe the most ideal match-up with their leaky pass defense and injuries. But another thing is if wintery weather is an issue that week in the midwest/east coast we have games that week in Pittsburgh, Chicago, Cincy, New England, Jersey, DC, Buffalo, Philly and Cleveland. Easy to see Thielen playing in Tampa in a great matchup that week while up to 18 teams in the league might be dealing with winter weather literally being a league winner.

👍 FWIW, I might be starting Bryce in SF. He’s basically come back from the dead.

Sincere McCormick.

Got all the touches yesterday. Can catch too.

Outstanding Schedule: ATL, JAX, @No.

Could do what Z. White did down the stretch last year.

At this point, I don't see why A. Pierce would play A. Mattison or Z. White at this point. Why bother?

Ridder a downgrade, but I'm not sure you can downgrade that passing game that much from O'Connell.

The only thing is disagree with is he didn’t do well in goal line and that seems a fit for Mattison

I picked up Bryce yesterday morning in a one start FFPC national type contest that rosters are locked for ROS after waivers ran yesterday morning and part of that was because my other two QB's are Tua/Winston and they will be facing each other in Cleveland that week, a Dec 29th night game in Cleveland. I have Juedy, Waddle and Thielen so WR/QB hookups for all of them and if weather is an issue I'll be going with with Bryce and Thielen that week, and provided he can stay healthy very likely Thielen regardless of weather.

I sincerely hope youre right because it looks like I will be without my RB2 Bucky next week.

Stacking the Billy Volek/Drew Bennett combo
That's a bad memory me!
I two-stepped my way to a championship on back-2-back starts from Kerry Collins one week, and then Billy Volek the next. Or vice-versa.
… alcoholism is no joke. But, that said … GB and I used to “lol” along with the old yahoo stat tracker when Kerry Collins would throw a pick.

“Kerry Collins, intoxicated down the field!”

Oh the good ole days …

I think the fantasy community owes Arthur Smith an apology for thinking he was the one holding back Pitts.

I never thought he was holding him back. Bijan, on the other hand, seems to be evidence that he was holding his skill players back.
Fair - IIRC last year there were a lot of Pitts owners up in arms why Arthur was giving Jonnu Smith so much run over Pitts. Now it’s easy to see why, of course.
