Who would you rather have at QB? (1 Viewer)

Since becoming a starter Romo has had a higher QB rating, higher passing td's per game, fewer turnovers, higher passing yards per game, higher ompletion %, higher yards/rush, higher rushing td's, and was 3-0 against Eli before this past weekend's game. What exactly is it that indicates to you that Eli is a better NFL QB?

Romo, for now. I like the way he plays, carries himself and really seems to be enjoying himself out there. In attitude and approach, he really does remind me of Favre ( not comparing his level of play here ) He has had a better year than anything Eli ever had in his first full season as a starter, and he has shown enough to the coaches to put the gameplan on him, which is unusual for a less experienced QB. I think he can get better with more experience.

Eli has had some nice games, some not so nice games, but rarely looks like he is having fun. I don't believe this 3 game stretch is Eli turning the corner, and this is what we'll see going forward, but rather that this recent run is just the next peak in Eli's up & down play. Future play could easily prove me wrong on that. Until I see more consistently high levels of play from Eli, count me among the doubters.

Id rather have the New York Giants' pass rush. And either guy. It wouldnt make a difference.
It took a Pats fan to give a good answer. But Romo as my weapons around him. What would Romo and Eli do if they were traded for each other? Dallas would have won.

Romo choked last year, and His how 3-1 vs. Eli.I rather be Eli and 1-0 vs. Romo in the Playoffs. :blackdot: Eli stepped His game up, Romo has NOT.

You're right, it is Eli who is 1-0 in the playoffs head to head. But what if it was Toomer who dropped the 8 yard hitch that he turned into a 50 yard TD instead of Crayton dropping the 8 yard pass that he could've busted for a 70 yard TD? That really has nothing to do with Eli stepping his game up and Romo not doing it.

Nobody had his receivers drop more passes than Manning this year.

So using that reasoning for every other game Manning has played is reasonable but using it for Romo in this one game is not?

I didnt say it was unreasonable either way. I just think Manning takes more heat than he should based on being a Manning, and having WR's dropping passes all season didnt help his cause. With that said, i still prefer Romo, but i think it is closer than most think.

Twitch is right about the Giant pass rush. That was the difference in the Dallas/Giants game. Romo is the better qb. The big difference between Romo and Eli is Romo is a playmaker while Eli can do nothing when a play breaks down. Eli is a decent qb but the win in Dallas had nothing to do with the Giants offense. 230 total yards.

I think it's about even. Since the beginning of the season I've touted Eli and the job he's done. I think Romo shows some promise but I think Eli is right in the thick of it with Qb like Rothlesberger and Romo.

Apparently many people think Rothlesberger is ahead of Romo and Eli because his defense and running game won him a SB but I think in terms of just pure playing talent they're all about the same.
