Who would you take in the #3 slot? (1 Viewer)

Hey everyone. My $$ league is drafting tonight and I have the dreaded #3 slot. I tried to trade down but didn't like any of the offers I received.

It's a 12 team redraft. 1 point every 10 yards rushing/receiving, 6 points per TD, & 1 PPR.

Which RB would you take?

LJ & Gore seem the obvious 2 choices but we all know their question marks. Westy? SA? Addai? Other?

I was hoping that LJ's situation would be clearer but unfortunately it's not.

What RB do you like in the 3 slot, assuming LT2 & SJax are both gone? Take LJ & pray that he even plays? Take Gore and hope that he stays healthy and scores more TD's this year? Take Westy and pray he finally plays a 16 game season for the 1st time in his career? Take Addai and hope that he can carry the full load for the season? Take SA and hope that he regains a little of his 05 form? Other?

Any advice would be appreciated! The draft starts in a few hours! Thanks in advance!

Redraft? PPR.

I think I would take Gore and LJ in that order. And Im pretty damn high on Addai.

While Gore's talent and production last year are undeniable, it was still one year, and while this latest injury is not a leg injury, I have to say that there are doubts.

With LJ, there is only one doubt - when will he report. Is there SOME chance he actually misses time? I suppose. But time and time again in the past those fears disappear in the last week of camp when there is some meeting of the minds or one side yields.

IMO, the risk of LJ missing some time early on is less than Gore not repeating last year...

FWIW, I took LJ last night in a draft. I would have taken Parker over Gore, but that is just me.

PPR does give a few extra nods to Gore, but personally I feel more risk with him than with LJ.

I feel your pain and in same position with draft today I'd still take LJ. If he holds out longer I'd lean toward Gore in PPR. My draft is in a few weeks so I'll be watching this closely. Let us know what you decided and good luck.

LJ is by far the "safest" pick at #3.

Gore is an injury waiting to happen, FWP has knees problems already this year, Addai ????, Westbrook is losing the goal line duty. Take LJ and don`t look back.

That's the way I'm leaning. Despite all of LJ's ???'s, he's the RB most likely to put up the best #'s and score the most TD's if he's on the field. I just hate that "if he's on the field" part when drafting your #1 RB. :goodposting:

 Unless I missed his signing, he is very much "not safe." In fact even if he signed he is not the safest pick. Best upside though for sure.IMO FWP, Bush, or Addai, not necessarily in that order.

Westbrook. McNabb is back so teams will have to respect the passing game a little. Westbrook is SO underrated in PPR leagues, gonna be a steal for some teams. He was taken in one of my drafts at 1.10 which is unreal for a PPR league.

The signing is not the biggest issue with LJ. The workload last year and the decline of his O-line are.

I took Gore at #3.
