Who's benching Cruz this week? (1 Viewer)

I hear you, RN. There's just something about that damn team that I can see their fans, the weather and the travel making problems for Seattle. Obviously that's just a gut feeling.

I still think Todman is a slippery play. The promise of the preseason hasn't translated so far.

The Giants are terrible and barely try. Not a great combo.

Luckily it's not going to cost me. But you were right - they are a complete disaster.

I've had him on my bench for a couple weeks now. HIm and Eli are huge reasons why I've had my worst fantasy year ever.

Rotoworld:

Victor Cruz (knee, concussion) is not practicing again Thursday, as expected.

We'd expect the Giants to formally rule Cruz out of Week 16 (and possibly Week 17 as well) shortly. Not only is he not cleared from his concussion, but his knee is a problem as well. Rueben Randle is going to be an every-down player against the Lions Sunday, with Jerrel Jernigan coming into the slot for three-wide sets.

Victor Cruz is getting a second opinion on his sprained knee, and the Giants could have "further news" on his status later Thursday.

It sounds like Cruz is dealing with at least a moderate sprain, and is highly unlikely to take the field in Week 16 or 17. He can be dropped in re-draft leagues. Cruz's status will be updated later Thursday.

Rotoworld:

Victor Cruz (knee, concussion) has been ruled out for Week 16.

Cruz is getting a second opinion on his knee. He appears to have at least a moderate sprain. Cruz is extremely unlikely to return for Week 17, meaning he'll finish 2013 with 73 catches for 998 yards and four touchdowns. At worst, Cruz will be a high-end WR3 for 2014. His status will depend on what kind of changes the G-Men make to their moribund offense.

Rotoworld:

Victor Cruz underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Thursday, and is done for the season.

The G-Men are officially deeming the operation an "arthroscopic debridement." As far as surgeries go, it's minor. Cruz should be ready well ahead of the Giants' offseason program. He finishes 2013 with 73 catches for 998 yards and four touchdowns. Rueben Randle is starting in his place against the Lions. Randle is a high-risk, high-reward WR3 for the fantasy finals. Randle will line up opposite Hakeem Nicks on the outside, with Jerrel Jernigan manning Cruz's place in the slot.
