As someone who drafted both Leftwich (1.8) and Palmer (1.12) my primary reason for Leftwich first was that Pamer is on the Bengals. To discount the the terrible organization the Bengals are is is to simply ignore data that is available to everyone. That is not following the herd.I also took McGahee (1.2) and he was clearly the most talented RB in the class. There was no herd to follow, simply watching him play was enough.I stand by what I said- When every draft but one has Leftwich going before Palmer (and the one where Leftwich went #1 overall is a start 2 QB league-which refelects why he went unusually high -your chart makes no mention of this) this is definitely a follow the herd mentality. You would think given the fact that Cinncinati has an equal running game, better receivers and an equal or better O-line- combined with the fact that Palmer was the consensus number 1 pick- there would at least be a 75%-25% split.McGahee going as the the #2 back or better in almost every draft shows herd thinking.
This helped me a lot because we don't do a strict rookie draft. We do all of the FA's and rookies together. I was looking to move up in the draft to get Musa to back up Jamal Lewis, since I don't pick until 16 overall, but I think I will stand pat....10 team dynasty draft. Free agents and rookies. I think some players went way too early. Great for me, cause I got a couple steals later.Pick Player1:01 WR - Charles Rogers1:02 WR - Andre Johnson1:03 QB - Matt Hasselbeck1:04 RB - Larry Johnson1:05 RB - Willis McGahee1:06 QB - Byron Leftwich1:07 QB - Carson Palmer1:08 RB - Correll Buckhalter1:09 WR - Bryant Johnson1:10 QB - Kyle Boller2:11 WR - Taylor Jacobs2:12 WR - Kelley Washington2:13 QB - Seneca Wallace2:14 WR - Keenan McCardell2:15 QB - Jeff Blake2:16 RB - LaBrandon Toefield2:17 QB - Kordell Stewart2:18 RB - Justin Fargas2:19 WR - Tyrone Calico2:20 RB - Chris Brown3:21 RB - Musa Smith3:22 QB - Rex Grossman3:23 RB - Lee Suggs3:24 RB - B.J. Guess We have to WATCH it sometimes.....even with 1.01 and 1.02 you can just make a real bad pick.....This is going to be a little different than the other drafts you have seen. This is a new league, 12 teamer contract league, that started with the rookie draft before the initial vet. draft. There is only 16 roster spots (35 max years per season to use), so if you are going to keep a rookie to a contract, they better be good.

If this is not correct, let me know
While that IS funny, and the Leftwich pick was a reach any way you slice it, in his defense, Charles Rogers was virtually a consensus #1 pick in rookie drafts that year... bad year to have the #1Guess We have to WATCH it sometimes.....even with 1.01 and 1.02 you can just make a real bad pick.....1.1- Team #1 (my team)- B.Leftwhich

I must admit though, putting the boxing smiley at the end of you point like some macho exclamation point did have me fearful for a moment.
No it wasnt, it was a bad year to have the #1 and be foolish enough to take a WR with it.While that IS funny, and the Leftwich pick was a reach any way you slice it, in his defense, Charles Rogers was virtually a consensus #1 pick in rookie drafts that year... bad year to have the #1Guess We have to WATCH it sometimes.....even with 1.01 and 1.02 you can just make a real bad pick.....1.1- Team #1 (my team)- B.Leftwhich
