Agreed. He'll have better days. This year it will be Benson. Who else? He won't be that good but Starks has never been able to stay healthy so it will be Benson by default. But the Packers really don't have the answer for RB on the roster currently.I think we should probably wait to see Benson against someone other than the best run D in the league before we close the book on him. Not that I'm particularly optimistic, but still. SF run D is like a brick wall out there.
This is my take. I think they keep a vet like Benson in there because he's not going to hurt them as they don't really need to move the ball much on the ground. He can pickup a blitz and run for 3.5. Just have to hope he pops in some cheap td's to have some decent value because even though he might have some holes he's not fast/shifty enough to break big runs.I think we should probably wait to see Benson against someone other than the best run D in the league before we close the book on him. Not that I'm particularly optimistic, but still. SF run D is like a brick wall out there.
nah, overreaction after one game is awesome.I think we should probably wait to see Benson against someone other than the best run D in the league before we close the book on him. Not that I'm particularly optimistic, but still. SF run D is like a brick wall out there.
I disagreeBenson was pretty terrible, Starks has turf toe and is fairly terrible. Someone has carry the rock.
You mean we shouldn't overreact after only ONE WEEK??i wouldnt jump ship on benson yet.
id give benson another week against a d not named sfo before writing him off.Benson was pretty terrible, Starks has turf toe and is fairly terrible. Someone has carry the rock.
Yep, Benson needs quantity to produce and that won't happen in Green Bay. If they have a big lead and are running the clock he's likely to be rested for Green.CobbHe's easily their best 3rd Down RB
