Why are the experts so high on Spiller? (1 Viewer)

Every week I look at the 250+ and the weekly rankings, and it seems like every week, CJ Spiller is in the top 25-30 RB's (PPR). This week for instance, he's Bloom's #20 RB and the 28th best RB in the 250+ rankings. Is there something that I'm missing about him?

I'm trying to decide who to start between Beanie Wells, Michael Bush, and Spiller...and according to Bloom's rankings, I should be going with Spiller. Given his track record so far this year, I just find it hard to believe that he's going to put up great numbers about the Ravens.

The belief is that eventually Gailey wakes up from his nap and sees what he has in the kid. But I honestly don't think Gailey is smart enough for that. He either thinks that he still has a legit shot to win, and that using Spiller more somehow lessens his shot, or he simply doesn't know what he's doing anymore (not that he ever really did).

Personally I don't see it happening this year. I think once the Bills are completely out of it, say 0-10, Spiller will start to see some work, but even then not in a truly featured role, just more of a 50/50 split or maybe 55/45 in his favor. Enough to kill whatever remaining fantasy value there is left in Buffalo.

I think it also may have to do with the fact that not only is Lynch gone, but it is the week after the bye for Buffalo and they may have "retooled" their running plans.

I guess that makes sense. It's just so odd, since the rankings always seem to be so reactionary, based on a single week. It's not unusual to see a player ranked at 20 in the +250 one week, and 45 the next week. With Spiller however, he's consistently at the same point, even though he's not doing anything.
