In a word: Luck. His day is coming. The severity of it is unknown. He will get injured before his career is over. Can't expose your knees 30 times a game 16 times a year in the NFL without it happening sooner or later.
People have been predicting a serious LT injury for the past 5 years. Way to go out on a limb there.
Maybe he is the luckiest RB to ever play the game. He's only got a couple years left before his decline hits. He'll get hurt sooner or later. If not this year next if not then, he'll stick around and get hurt before he retires. All runningbacks get it sooner or later. Even the great ones.

For those that mention luck, just remember - you can minimize the amount of luck needed by preparing for whatever you are doing, and that goes for all things, not just football. Think about the position of NFL RB in terms of risk analysis. What does LT do well that can limit his risk of sustaining an injury? From what I see, everything. Does LT actually have a flaw in his game that would make him a more susceptible RB to injury? Besides the monster workload he gets, I don't see one.

And to those that say LT's time will come, Ted Williams put it in perspective. It went something like this... When asked if he could bat .400 against today's pitchers, he replied, "...well, probably not, but then again, I'm 80 years old".
