That he takes time to tweet about this Smolett nut, which serves no purpose other than to gin up his trailer park base, is laughable.
That we are used to this behavior from the president is just sad honestly.

I posted on Facebook this how Trump shares some responsibility with his the "NY Times the true enemy of the people" I then stated that while I an no fan of Sanders how immediately following the shooting of Republicans at the baseball field Bernie Sanders immediately condemned in the strongest terms the shootings by someone who apparently was a supporter of his. I said as soon as the President "condemns" the plans of this coast guard guy I would remove the post. Obviously my post is still there. Trump saying it is sad is not condemning.

Trump continuously calls the media 'enemy of the people' because he wants his base to treat them as a literal enemy. In Trump's mind, what was sad is that the guy got busted.

I was hoping he'd be much better with the tweets and his nature of not being able to rise above media attacks etc. He's proven unable to do that.
Its 100% reasonable response - that's who he's proven to be and I doubt he'll ever change. Be reasonable and logical and see it for what it is. Here is another piece of information ... the liberal media will not stop attacking him for another 2 or 6 years. They will not stop, as equally as he will not. That's their natures now, its who they are choosing to be.
It really amazes me to see people still thinking they can play "gotcha" with Trump on issues like this.

The word you are looking for is predictable, not reasonable. There is nothing reasonable about it...the fact that there is a response at all from him on this is laughable. It's benneth the Presidency of the United States. Always has been, always will be. It's just as predictable that he's said virtually nothing of the terrorism coming from within the country. That isn't reasonable either, so I guess at least you can say he's consistent?

I know that Trumpers probably don't do a lot of reconciling, but if they did, how would they reconcile this? if the liberal anti-Trump media hates Trump every minute of every day, why wouldn't they be dedicating much more coverage to the Coast Guard trump-lovin' terrorist who was going to kill many people at least in part because of Trump's rhetoric instead of the gay, black, liberal man who faked a hate crime to put more money in his pocket?

No surprise that Trump slammed Smollett. If guilty, it was a frame job on MAGA and Smollett deserves to be ripped. But I do not care for Trump's silence on the Coast Guard guy. He can make a statement about his concern regarding the situation while still saying that the matter was under investigation.

I'm curious why you are more focused on the view of the "sides" rather than the issues. Seems to me, you'd want to understand the issues much better than what you display here before you got caught up in the arguments by the "sides". For actual liberal sites, you'll probably want to go to MSNBC way more as well as daily kos, vox, new republic. On the scale, CNN is pretty middle of the road. If you think THEY are "liberal" you're in for a rude awakening going to real liberal sites.
And I hate to break it to you but you absolutely live in an echo chamber...it's the echo chamber where every single thing is framed by the "sides" argument and viewed through that lens and that lens alone. That's as good as you're going to get if you deal only with the US "news" outlets.....good luck.

What exactly do you think "echo chamber" means?
And my point was, if you wanted the real deal "liberal" view, you wouldn't be on CNN trying to find it. Those others I mentioned are pretty good sources, so I'd recommend dropping CNN since you can't stand them and picking up the others. It doesn't make sense to frame something as something it's not if you can have the real thing in front of you simply by changing sources.
