Why I hate Fanduel...and why it hates me! (1 Viewer)

1) Every week I set a budget so that my deposit will make it all year...but then I see all these open games Saturday night and I feel compelled to help fill them to help Fanduel out of course.

2) I am filled with this amazing awe at my ability to pull out these fantastic combinations of players that will guarantee me top prizes and I feel sorry for the competition. By about 2:30 pm on Sundays that feeling is replaced with a deepening dread and foreboding.

3) I foolishly believe that if a player did well last week they will do well again....I am a slow learner here.

4) I think stud RB means Stud RB, again slow learner...

5) I think that a packed roster of top rated talent will get you to the top of the tournaments when in reality it is a top QB and a complete random selection of players that I thought had already retired... See Eddie Royal and James Starks.

6) I once won 2nd place in a tournament 2 years ago and I am still trying to recapture that win, $100's of dollars later...

7) Definition of Insanity- I pick my Fanduel teams on Wednesday/Thursday and I am quite happy with them...On Friday and Saturday i read the Daily suggestions on Footballguys and change them all around. Come Sunday evening I find out that my first picks would have qualified for winner finishes....yet I plan on doing the same thing this week....insanity!

So if you gave me $20 and I still stood there with my wallet open, you'd give me more? I wish you were my boss!

This is what's stupid. The rest is all just part of the game. Don't play with more money than you are able to comfortably and this will be fun to you. This isn't some kind of magical get rich quick thing. Don't play to get rich, play for fun with extra money that you'd be pissing away on something else stupid anyways.

This isn't difficult people. If you have a gambling problem, then just flat out stop playing games with real money. There are plenty of free fantasy leagues that people post on here.

If you bet more than you wanted to and the following week bet even more to re-coop the costs that you lost, then you have a problem.

Good post. You win some, you lose some. I deposited some last year because of the FBG deal and contests (guess they aren't doing those this year). I'm still around the $100 mark and it goes up and down. Lots of luck involved of course. If that money reaches zero, I'm done. Same thing I did with FantasyFactor a couple of years ago. I had it up to $275 from just the free $10 credit to sign up, played for two years. I withdrew $100 and played the rest until the money was gone.

But they did send me the $100, something I can't say about that ripoff site called Turf War. They still owe me $1300.

I'm just going all in every week and spreading it around several different games. Why not? When I'm out of money, I'm out. If I win something substantial, I'll withdraw.

Couple of reasons, mainly that it goes against the fundamental rule of bankroll management. Fantasy Football is a high variance game, if you have any edge at all the longer you can stretch your bankroll the better.
