I agree the process and grading system needs to bump into this era. Also franchises have neglected the importance of the position or "Title" of the Scout's job and all too often it's handed to someone completely unqualified to do so. I have this same issue with many Beat Writers where I have to question WTF they are even looking at or watching. Interesting read.

A very eye-opening read. Can't even wrap my head around how you could operate a business, where 10's of millions of dollars can be won/lost in a single good/bad decision to acquire your businesses main commodity (the player). Yet you're unwilling to invest in the most in-depth research processes available. Sounds like a LOT of money to be made by a knowledgeable scouting consultant.
