why no word on gore yet (1 Viewer)

Game time decision.
(Rotoworld) 49ers coach Mike Singletary announced Wednesday that Frank Gore (ankle) will be a "game-day decision" in Week 15 at Miami.Analysis: Singletary called Gore's injury an "inside sprain" of his left ankle, which at least sounds better than a dreaded high sprain. Gore sat out practice Wednesday and DeShaun Foster will get most of the reps leading up to Sunday. If the 49ers promote Thomas Clayton from their practice squad later this week, it will be a pretty clear indication that they're not counting on Gore. Fantasy owners need to continue to track the situation.

SF homers. Will Foster get the most of the carries if Gore is out with Clayton filling in? I've heard some others with high opinions of Clayton...who will carry the ball for the 49ers if Gore can't go for the rest of the season?

thanks.

Clayton hasn't even been activated yet from the Practice Squad. I won't rule out Gore just yet - dude's a warrior and this is his homecoming.

Or, it could be the most dreaded injury of all....the "high and inside sprain", also known as the "brushback sprain".

yes gore is a 'warrior' but what if he gives it a go and then hangs it up in the 1st

not sure if I can risk it in the play offs

Unfortunately I got both Gore and Jacobs and will have to run Lynch, Slaton and D.Ward in my playoffs for that very reason that either of those two only play part of the game if they do play.

That's a very likely scenario. All it will take is a little tweak and he's done for the day.
Or Gore sucks it up, gets close to 100% and feels good a few hours before gametime and have a very nice day for his homecoming in Miami as he probably would have to wait 5+ years before he can play at Miami again.
