"A lot of times, in the heat of the battle or right after the game, you kind of say things sometimes that you want to take back," Tomlinson said. "I'm looking forward to seeing Bill and having him coach the game."
So I guess LT wants a mulligan for what he did after the "heat of the battle", yet he doesn't think the Patriot players that were celebrating should get one.
Nevermind the fact that LT went on trashing Belichick for a number of days after the game while the Patriots players are crucified for somethiing they did seconds after the game.
Ohhh well.
A month later and you still don't get it. Trash talk/taunting/mental games DURING the game = part of the overall game.
Trash talk AFTER the game when it's time to shake hands and go seperate ways = NO CLASS.
The Patriots behavior was classless and LT called them out on it. Belichick has shown his lack of class before (the Mangini stuff) and after (dissing Peyton) this game. He's obviously an ###.
What we've found out about many of the Patriots and Belichick is that they don't win or lose with class.
So, Tomlinson obviously has zero class, since his trash talking went on for days? As for Belichick "dissing" Manning, I didn't realize it was required conduct to embrace every member of the team. But, here is Belichicks response to the unwarranted attacks in that case.
"Asked about the scene after the game, when it appeared he brushed off Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, Belichick said: "I talked to Tony [Dungy] after the game and congratulated him. Peyton, I didn't see, he kind of grabbed me, it all happened really fast. I saw Tony, I saw Adam [Vinatieri], wished him well. Saw [Dan] Klecko, wished him well. Ask any of them what happened after the game.""

As for the Mangini incident, the Pats beat the Jets in NY, there's a cold handshake, and it was expected. The Pats lose, a cold handshake, and Belichick is the biggest jerk in the world. Then, in the playoffs, when obviously the two have talked and probably worked out their differences and the relationship is getting better, people like you instead focus on the fact that he had to move a cameraman. An incident that has to happen all the time in the on field melee, but this week it was different, because you couldn't say Belichick wasn't cold in his handshake. A bit of a double standard? But, it's only the same you're applying in giving LT a pass on the handshakes, and shaking hands with only a few players, but Belichick wasn't warm enough in his handshake with Manning, and was more interested in Dan Klecko and Adam Vinatieri, and held a virtual love fest with Dungy.
You're trying to rewrite history. Fine. Don't like the guy, but be honest in your criticism. Hold him to the same standard that you do others. You're calling LT classy for calling out guys for doing the same thing his teammate does every time he makes a play. They're doing it for winning the game. Which incident merits celebration? I say winning? Yeah, they mocked Merriman. When you show up people during the game, as he did with his 1 yard sack, it's going to stick. That's why it happened. Hold Merriman to the same standard. Is he classless for the "Steriod Shuffle" everytime he does it? Is it not to show up the other team each and every time he makes the sack? Absolutely. It has no other purpose.
People have moved from attacking Belichick for his handshakes to affairs. He's a damn football coach, not an ambassador of the UN. Keep it inperspective. When he gets up in a coaches face with the double pistol finger shoot after winning a superbowl, instead of a handshake, we'll talk about classless. This other stuff is just more sour grapes, and frankless a little bit of a lack of class coming out with the sour grapes.
