Why were Williams and Stewart Sitting (1 Viewer)

I know the Panthers went to a passing offense, but I can't understand why neither of these guys touched the ball after the 3rd qtr (stewart had 1 rush). Trailing by two scores with 8:30 minutes to got he Panthers had 1st and goal and their two best players didn't even come on the field. I just don't get that at all...were they hurt? I know the YPC was low against a good Giants D, but they have to pound that ball in there, at least try. Agree?

John Fox and Jeff Davidson. If there is something that makes perfectly logical sense from an offensive standpoint, except them to screw it up in some way. Honestly, even if they were intent to get Mike Goodson into the game at that point, I feel pretty confident that he could have scored. You will always hear people say that John Fox is a good coach...but these kind of situations have been happening for season after season in Carolina. Even when the Panthers play well, it's in spite of Fox and Davidson, not because of them.

I would appreciate some insight from those more knowledgeable as well regarding these two RBs.

I don't expect much from the Carolina offense as a whole, but having Stewart as my #4RB in a PPR, has me a tad interested...especially now that I may have to start him with Ryan Grant hurt.

I don't have much insight, but as a D. Williams owner, I hope to god that he can somehow get outta Carolina next year, via trade or something. Carolina, along with Dallas, look like complete fantasy wastelands for the RB's this year. Three-headed monsters. It makes absolutely ZERO sense to have Williams on the bench the whole 4th QTR. Outside of Steve Smith, he is the best player on offense for them. John Fox, like Wade Phillips, is a complete idiot. No Fox in CAR next year, and no Phillips in DAL either. Both will be fired if they continue to rotate RB's like they do.

I saw the Panthers do this in a game last year..............close game, D-Will and Stewart on the sidelines with Goodson in there. Scratched my head then, doing the same now.

If they both put up the same fantasy numbers they did last year I'd be good with that.
