One guy left at both RB and WR.

Memo to Drinen, I think Bake Turner's 1962 stats are a little off.
I get those same stats when I googled him. The only interesting thing is that on one sight it lists him as having a 74 yard TD. So either he caught more than one pass or the yardage is off. Bake Turner stats.
Interesting. Here's another one with 111.
I looked into this as well. Some sites have him with 1 rec for 111 yards. Others have him with 1 rec for 17 yards.
Do you get receiving yards but no reception off a lateral?

Paul Warfield 1971 and 1967Edit: Nope. Did not have 1,000 yds those seasons.

Looks like Comp = Rec (237) and Pass yards = Rec yards (3330) for the team.

If only I put this much energy into work. I found this PDF file from the 1962 season. It lists game by game scores, but not whole stats. It does show that Turner scored a 74 yard TD in week 12 against Minnesota.Edit to add: This site shows him at 1 reception for 74 yards for the year.

Would love to see the same kind of list, but only with seasons since the merger (my usual starting point for the NFL as we know it).

Re: Bake Turner._Total Football_ (which is supposed to be official) does indeed list 1 catch for 111. This is certainly possible, as you do get receiving yards but not a recpetion for being on the back end of a lateral play. Some other web sites list him with the same numbers. What's not clear is if that constitutes independent verification or if those websites are replicating the same error.
