I was listening to ESPN and they had a public safety message about it being hot and how you don't want to leave your child in the car.

They said something to the effect of, "One helpful hint is to bring a stuffed animal along.  Put it in the back seat when you bring your child so that it will remind that there is a child in the car."

I was laughing so hard.  Do these people really think that you will remember a stuffed animal but not your kid?  Amazing.

Wouldn't it make more sense to put the stuffed animal in your lap?  You'd see that.

The weirdest commercial I remember seeing was the Q-Tip commercial where Orson Bean demonstrated the 'proper' way to use them, i.e. not sticking it directly in the ear but rather just swipe the inside of the lobe. He made a satisfied sounding 'aaah' as he did it. Kinda surreal.

It seems like over the past 3-4 years every single company is trying to be like the weird old spice commercials.
