As someone who lives in a stupid Southern state that'll like never see marijuana laws relaxed, it's pretty irritating to see this dumb woman mention she smokes a lot of weed.

You folks in enlightened places wouldn't understand, but there are idiots in these parts that would take that #### to heart. All they'll hear from this story is that "taking pot" will make you kill your husband.

It's a long uphill battle.

Hell, I don't personally even like pot that much, but I think the world's generally a better place with more people smoking pot.

One advantage to being a pot smoker in Lynchburg back in the early seventies was that the locals might not have even been aware of its existence. Suspicion was therefore limited.

Falwell was in the early stages of building his empire around then, I believe, so for all I know it might've been Haight-Ashbury East out here.

Indeed. And both those comments are a little supercilious....they have approximately 75 million fans, and as a spectator sport, they are #1 in attendance. They also attract almost twice the sponsorship money than the NFL gets.

She always seemed odd. I was never too concerned as I was a young teen just trying to, as we say "Get my d**k wet." In hindsight, she did have some catatonic like states when she'd smoke.
