Wild Card Game 1 ***Chiefs at Texans*** (2 Viewers)

Please no offense to the Houston fan base, good people and they had nothing to do with this but...the NFL has got to rethink it when a team like Houston makes it in hosting a playoff game, they were not one of the best 8 teams in the NFL. They won't be the only team getting a butt whooping this weekend but sadly KC didn't even play that well. They had so many chances in the 1st half to blow it wide open, took way too long for a team with possible SB aspirations.

"MOP, they won 30-0"...I get it and I was glad to collect the loot but I'm not sure I put a lot of faith in them next in Denver no matter who the QB is. That might change come Monday.

this was probably Miami's ceiling had they hired the guy you wanted at HC...

"Team like Houston"...you mean a division champ that at least had a winning record? I'd agree with your assertion more if this happened and they won the division with a losing record, but Hoyer just played the worst game at QB I may have ever seen.

A team that had no business hosting a playoff game and was embarrassed 30-0 by a team that had their own offensive woes especially in the 1st half when Houston turned it over 3 times alone.

Propping these teams up for winning in weak divisions plus getting 6 games on the schedule for some of these teams that are almost automatic wins. That AFC South is a joke and has been for a while. A lot of divisions have 1 or 2 bottom dwellers but everyone knew when Manning was with the Colts they were gonna walk thru a soft division.

Let's look at the AFC North where 3 teams haven't changed coaches in about 8 years.

Houston fans are going to be looking for a fight tonight after they were trounced and shown to not be even close to a playoff team right now, not one that can go anywhere. I might fire O'Brien anyways because IMO this season only masks a few major problems for them.

I wish Texans nothing but the best, I opened my post being very apologetic about how I felt, I didn't chime in during the game and pepper the thread, just being honest after the game ended.

I feel sorry for the Texans ad their fans today, they shouldn't have been there. KC won 10 games in a row, why should they have been on the road vs a 9-7 team that got in over a 10-6 team in the Jets? NY would have been a much better team in that game IMHO.

Thought I heard the broadcast say that the Super Bowl is in Houston next year. The bad news for the Texans is they are already screwed for next year. They won't smell the playoffs.

Too bad Houston didn't have even an average QB. Soomebody like, say, Ryan Fitzpatrick.
I mentioned earlier that it was kind of amazing to watch this game knowing that the Jets and Bills were sitting at home watching it with us. Both of these teams are notably worse than those, especially Houston obviously but KC too.

It happens. Changing the playoff method would be a mistake. Winning a division should mean something, and a home playoff game is the perfect reward. What if all the teams in a division are awesome and the beat the heck out of each other? You could have a team without a great record winning the division, but it doesn't mean it's not a good division. Of course, this year it played out like that, but a few years back, a 9-7 Cardinals team that many thought was really bad made it all the way to the Superbowl.
