Will anyone start Randy Moss from here on out? (1 Viewer)

I can't decide if Randy Moss should EVER get off my bench. Guy clearly hates the Raiders coaching staff and team. He says he wants to be traded next year. Wouldn't he want to play well to show he has SOME value at this point? He's healthy, he plays a crappy Texans D, but is anyone starting him? If so, why? If not, why?

I have him going this week against the Texans, only because it's the Texans. If he dosen't hang 2TD's against them, I can't starting him the rest of the way.

he doesn't have to do anything special as far as audition... someone will take a chance on him because he's (gasp)....randy moss.

i guess you're right, but it would be nice to see him show some motivation and pride...so i assume most are keeping him on the bench until next year?

I just cannot see playing Randy Moss until he show some desire to be productive and even if he does do well against the Texans this week I cannot see myself trusting him moving forward this year with playoffs on the line.

Aside from his run during 3-4 games, I agree he has been a bust this year but I hold hope that he may have some good games out there as; the Raiders schedule is attractive, Brooks seems to be scrambling more freely then he did before he got hurt (out of necessity of course as their line sucks) and the team seems to be pretty chipper about the change at OC.

Guess what folks, in case you haven't figured it out yet, Randy Moss has entitlement issues. He won't play harder to get traded because he already thinks he deserves to be traded because he's 'Randy Moss'.

This ship has sailed, my friends.

I have Moss in a ten teamer where I am starting Alexander, Gore and Parker at RB and Driver at WR. My second WR "should" be going to Moss, but I am starting Mushy instead. It is too bad since Moss would normally be a no-brainer. But if you have decent options besides Moss and MUST win, I can't see starting him.

Matchup Scmatchup.

If the guy isn't TRYING (which he isn't), matchups mean nothing. To the untrained eye, he's making it look pretty good. He flails his arms coming off the line and kicks the knees high and all that good stuff, but it's only to avoid an insubordination accusation. He's getting no separation, and he's almost never open.

Suck it up and move on. Put someone with integrity and a passion for the game into your lineup.

As long as I have a healthy Joey Galloway on my roster, R. Moss will continue to see nuthin' but splinters. He had a decent run at around Week 3 or 4 for a couple of games, but he hasn't done jack since...

RANDY MOSS WILL BE RELEASED, NOT TRADED

Hope this helps.

I'm starting him in a league where I'm already out of it. I figure he'll put up good points this week just to spite me and take me out of the running for LT...

I feel this is the week to play him. He should prioduce at home VS Hou. I picked huim up off of our WW for this week as #2 WR.

I'm still starting D Jax vs Champ Bailey over Moss. Screw Moss until he gets off his lazy ###

I have both Randy Moss and Reggie Bush (not a PPR league, he has 29 pts on the season). They were my picks in Rds 2 (Bush) and 4 (Moss).

I need to win this week to hold onto the last playoff spot and I'm starting Bush (with Dunn and Mojo Drew). At WR, I'm starting Coles, Winslow (I don't need to start a TE) and Reggie Brown and sitting Moss.

Bush is killing me, but it's not because he's a whiner and not trying. I cannot take another week of Moss with 2 targets, 1 catch and 8 yards. I don't care who he's playing against, he's on the bench the rest of the way.

But what I don't understand is, why would he choose to produce this week? What makes him change his mind?I see nothing that would make me think he's going to..... doesn't mean there isn't something though. But would you mind sharing?

I'm really hoping one of the Texan DB's starts riding him early in the game, talking trash. Moss has enough talent to turn any CB on that team inside out.

If Moss has any pride, this is the kind of game he should shine in.

If he's released in the offseason, any team would be foolish to sign him to anything but an incentive laden deal.

I think this will be a break out game and the new OC will be key.

I just traded Braylon Edwards for him and am excited to start him today.

BIG game for Moss today.

I'm actually starting him today as a "what the heck" move. I got almost nothing out of Rudi Johnson and the Ravens defense in a game I have to win to make the playoffs (win and I win the division, lose and I'm out). I figure Moss is at least capable of putting up a huge game if he decides to show up, and I have nothing to lose now. He's starting over Jennings and Branch (and Deshaun Foster as a flex, for that matter). If he's going to have one big game this season, you figure this is it.

Of course, if I were in a position to be a little more conservative, I'd probably put Branch in there. But I'm big game or bust at this point, so Moss is the play.

Just an opinion...I think the Raiders including Moss think that this a week that they could win. They will show up including Moss. He still is a competeive guy, he knows about all the bad PR lately, Hou against the pass is terrible. Just a hunch, I picked him up for this week only.

I'm starting Moss in 3 leagues. Not for any good reason. Mostly because I hate my other options and I'm basically just saying #### it. I'm all in.

I've benched Moss for weeks, but I'm playing him today. New OC, new gameplan, Brooks back............worth a gamble IMO.

Can we PLEASE not have any more Randy Moss threads this year?

For the 900th time, he is toast. Done. Finished. A quitter.

Feel free to drop him.
