Care to place a wager on that? This poll will need to run through next fall to be sure of the final answer.
I think it's gonna depend on who the Jets hire as their coach. But I think they are gonna hire Spagnolo, and Favre will hang it up.I predict he will announce his retirement prior to Feb. 15th and he will not play again.
It is Favre's decision. Even if he is wanted back I don't think he returns.I'm not sure it is Favre's decision. The Jets will let the new HC decide whether he wants Favre back or not.
Aren't you glad you didn't wager last year?Care to place a wager on that? This poll will need to run through next fall to be sure of the final answer.
Of course. If the Jets cut him, will Favre sign a one-day contract with Green Bay so he can retire a Packer? Will TT do it?

Do you really think that will happen again? There's no "retire/unretire" option, so I null voted.
He already retired as a Packer. If the Jets cut him, will Favre sign a one-day contract with Green Bay so he can retire a Packer? Will TT do it?
And there is a chance that he does sign a one-day contract to retire from football as a Packer. He already retired as a Packer. If the Jets cut him, will Favre sign a one-day contract with Green Bay so he can retire a Packer? Will TT do it?
No. I just thought the poll was incomplete without that option.Do you really think that will happen again? There's no "retire/unretire" option, so I null voted.
By definition, the answer to the poll question won't be definitively known until kickoff of next year's season.I'm not interested in betting on Favre's now-in-progress 2009 offseason circus. I'm sure you can get some Vegas action on Favre's retirement decision if you really really want to wager on it.So...do you want to place a wager to back up your comment?Aren't you glad you didn't wager last year?Care to place a wager on that? This poll will need to run through next fall to be sure of the final answer.
So you don't want to back up your thoughts that this will be a circus, he will drag it out and then unretire. I haven't seen any of the Favre haters ready to take that bet but they are all quick to try and bash him for what they think will happen.By definition, the answer to the poll question won't be definitively known until kickoff of next year's season.I'm not interested in betting on Favre's now-in-progress 2009 offseason circus. I dont think these "Favre haters" are saying that it WILL happen but that it's certainly not out of the question that it is a possibility. You are downright denying that it wont happen. I've been a Favre fan for years, and Ive finally come to the conclusion that nothing is too absurd when it comes to his retirement.Stinger Ray said:So you don't want to back up your thoughts that this will be a circus, he will drag it out and then unretire. I agree with this 100%He'll be back..guys like him have a tough time hanging up the cleats, they can't stand the thought of becoming just a 'regular joe' now that their pro sports career is coming to an end ( see Dennis Rodman)..it wouldn't surprise me if Favre was to play another 2-3 years..I doubt NY Jets will be his team, I think he'd look for some deal to send him to Minnesota...in no way do I see Favre going out like this, with TJ mouthing off calling him out publicly..Favre will not run and hide..even without those comments from TJ, Favre would have come back..its all about him, has been for years now..he is the NFL's biggest diva...its like watching Joan Rivers go in for another surgery after she repeatedly says she's done with the whole face-lift thing..
I believe he will retire by Feb. 15th and that will be it for him in the NFL.I dont think these "Favre haters" are saying that it WILL happen but that it's certainly not out of the question that it is a possibility. I'm on board with this because I don't think this is what he'll want the lasting memory being kicked to the curb.I predict he will announce his retirement prior to Feb. 15th and he will not play again.
+1The Jets will cut him and the Vikings will sign him.
Right....where is the "Who cares" option? This schtick has run its course.Voted null because there wasn't a "yawn" choice.
So here are your choices then...A) B) C) D) Feel free to use these in a month or two...A) :XB) C) D)Without reading any of this mess, aren't we sick of this? Isn't there only so much we can take? Do we have to do this every f-ing year? I hope he signs with the Vikings and wins another Super Bowl and plays until he's 65. Good God Girdy !!

FAVRE!!!!!!!!Who cares? The guy is a misanthropic, pitiful excuse for a teamate. He should have retired as the Golden Boy, before we all saw him as the selfish brat who is above criticism - and above his teammates - he really is.Legacy tarnished? Legacy destroyed. He is not what football is all about... a guy who is me, me, me, pretends to be otherwise and has lost as many (more?) big games than he has won.

No it isn't. Brett engaged in a power play with the Packers front office and coaching staff, lost that by getting shipped out of town, had to follow through on his statement about "wanting to play" by playing for the Jets, and ended up fading down the stretch and getting the head coach fired in a town not known for its charitable sports reporting resulting in him getting criticized like never before in his career. I'd expect him to retire and stay retired this time.
