Will Dwyer play this week? (1 Viewer)

It's all about tomorrow, yeah. The fact that there was no mention of this injury in Tomlin's Tuesday press conference is rather odd. It makes me feel like he woke up today and it was randomly sore, that or he tripped getting out of bed.

or over his dog and down the stairs.

After what ADP did last week, Mendy will play this week. Redman stinks and Dwyer is banged up. Just some hopes I guess.

No offense, but what to the two have to do with each other? Two people can have similar injuries (and they weren't) and still heal very differently. While you may be able to draw some general conclusions, predicting that Player A is healed so Player B should be able to play doesn't really make much sense.Incidentally, I own Mendy & Dwyer - and don't think Mendy will play much at all. Maybe just a handful of carries to test the knee.

or they just used it as an excuse for giving him a day off to rest up for a bigger load.
I just dropped a huge load.

He had a full practice today.
Repeat that Friday and I'm starting him again Sunday.
Jonathan Dwyer (foot, probable) turned in another full practice Friday. He practiced fully on back-to-back days and is all systems go for Sunday's game against the Jets. Dwyer led the Steelers' backfield in Week 1 snaps, rushing nine times for 48 yards while adding two catches for 11 yards. Dwyer has overtaken Isaac Redman, but is just a dicey flex option in Week 2. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5709/jonathan-dwyerSo how good of a play is he really? Seems like everything adds up for him to have a decent day, as I seriously doubt Redman is going to get many snaps. I have both Dwyer and Mendy, but I think they keep Mendy mostly on the sidelines til next week.

i am waffling between him and t richardson. i know whoever i choose the other one will blow up.

the fact that i am hoping for colt mccoy to win a starting qb job to help my rb makes me throw up in my mouth.

I'm playing him. #### it.
But what are your other options? Not to turn this into a "I'm starting Dwyer over _____________" thread, but honestly - I've got T. Rich, Bradshaw, Mendy, Wells, and D. Brown. He starts ahead of Mendy and maybe Wells - but that's it.

You don't want to know.Jstew, K.Smith and Benson (<--should've been this guy)Luckily I moved K.Smith and Benson so this "problem" won't happen again.

yeah honestly i am not going to start him this week and see if the "increased touches" is legit or not.i also think the jets d may be a bit better against the run when it is a close game.like benson on my bench i hope he shows something but i cant throw him in there without some track record of being legit starter.

Dwyer isn't mentioned on their injury list but Mendenhall is:

Week Two Friday injury report roundup

Posted by Josh Alper on September 14, 2012, 5:56 PM EDT

We cover all of the biggest injury stories throughout the day on Friday, but feel free to use this as a one-stop shop to catch up on those posts and any other names worth mentioning that we’ll throw in here every Friday.

Jets at Steelers

... Steelers will likely be without linebacker James Harrison and safety Troy Polamalu. The Steelers also listed running back Rashard Mendenhall as doubtful, although he was again listed as a full participant in practice.
No mention of Dywer at all and ESPN has him listed as probable for the game.
Jonathan Dwyer | RB | PIT

Dwyer (foot) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Jets, the Steelers' official site reports.

Spin:

Rashard Mendenhall is listed as doubtful for the game, so it looks like another week of Dwyer and Isaac Redman leading the Steelers' rushing attack, with Dwyer probably holding an edge in that time-share based on the fact that he clearly outperformed Redman last weekend.
A probable listing equates to a 95% chance he'll play so it looks very good that he'll play and that Mendy won't.
