Every season Eli Manning seems to choke at the end of the season.

Even during the NY Giants Super Bowl year he played dismally in at least 7 of the last 8 games.

His overall statistical performance is down between the first 8 games of a season versus the last 8 games of a season. This is most pronounced in his TD to INT ratio.

First 8 games - 1.8 to 1.0

Last 8 games - 1.1 to 1.0

Comparing him to someone else, say Aaron Rodgers.

First 8 games - 2.2 to 1.0

Last 8 games - 3.8 to 1.0

well it's not just him, i mean he played more than well enough to win against philly, and would we be talking about this if the defense made a single stop? or if special teams recovered an on-side kick? he was doing fine at green bay till bradshaw and then jacobs fumbled and he was trying to get them back from a huge deficit

Every season Eli Manning seems to choke at the end of the season.

I remember a Superbowl run where he as pretty historically stellar.Anyway, I don't have the numbers in front of me but under Coughlin the Giants are pretty stellar in the first half of the season and pretty pedestrian to crappy in the second half.Not just Eli.

Oh yes, horrible QB outside of that one small aberration which closed out the 2007/2008 season.
