Will Lorenzo Booker See Any Time? (1 Viewer)

With Ronnie Brown's lackluster performance and Chatman hobbled, is there any chance Booker could see some time on Sunday and for the duration of the year? My understanding is that he was going to be the 3rd down back until he got nicked up before week 1. Any Miami homers out there have any info?

Depends...do you have a practice squad slot in your lineup?
Funny. So with Chatman limping around, you think Brown will carry the full load? Who do you see as the next guy in line behind Chatman?
Miami homer here (which by the way is not a very fun thing to be).I think Chatman is fine. He played out the rest of the game with the injury. Booker never saw the field. Next guy in line might be Patrick Cobbs. I dont get the impression that Booker is viewed as any more than a 3rd down specialist at this point - and he isnt even being used for that right now. Most of the Miami faithful would like to see a whole lot less of Chatman, and a whole lot more of Ronnie. If Chatman is hurt, I would expect that to be what we see on Sunday.

I read somewhere that Booker only touched the ball 2 times in the preseason, and I think they were special teams touches. He was also inactive in game 1. I was high on him, but Miami is using him less than he was used in college (which wasn't much).

I thought he was pretty badly overrated in the rookie rankings, but I did expect him to contribute on gadget plays and third downs. Sometimes it takes RBs a little while to carve out a role. Brian Westbrook was little more than a return man as a rookie. Booker dynasty owners and fans (of which I am neither) shouldn't give up hope just yet.
