Randy, having played in 7 games thus far and on target for a full 17 games this year due to the trade, thus far has 305 yards receiving. 305/7=43ypgx17games=731 yards.

If you just project the average over the remaining games it comes out the same: 735 yards

Randy seems to have molded into Chris Carter: he just catches touchdowns.

Yeah - I'm not liking the lack of yardage and don't see it picking up even with the "gunslingler". I'm looking to move Moss on name value alone but was hoping for at least one 100+ yard game to sell high on.

I sold right after the trade. He'll still catch TDs, but his yardage could really suck. Surprised that it's 6-4 no to yes by a little. Yes by a lot with no votes.

Moss and Fitzgerald could both have serious problems getting to 1000 yards.

Pretty surprising in lieu of injury.

Welker is doing terrible also.

I thought i had a rock solid WR core with Moss/Welker and great RB's with Mathews/Best - no wonder i'm 1-5

I'm working on trading Moss + M. Williams (TB) for Wayne right now.

Not feeling Moss after watching his games this season. He is the ultimate decoy and he's not getting the looks.

Last time I drafted Moss he was in Oakland....thought he was in for a huge contract year but now looks like Oakland part II....sell while you can

I suspect he will have two or three games big yardage games which will help him get to 1,000, similar to Owens his last year in Dallas, who only got to 1,000 yards because of that monster game against SF.

I'm trying to remember Cris Carter during the tail end, during the "all he does is catch touchdowns" phase, if his stat lines were similar. I remember owning him in a TD-heavy (no PPR, only yardage bonus for 100+ yards) league and loving life. I seem to remember him barely breaking 1000 yards per season but posting 10-12 TDs. It seems like that's the kind of year Moss is going to have this year.

The whole "Carter only catches TDs" days were from his Philly days under Buddy Ryan. Can't remember whether they released him or traded him for a song, but the reality is, Carter was out of control with his dinking/drugging, and Ryan was forced to answer why he cast out such a good player...it was basically the first thing that came to his mind, so he ran with it. He did it to protect Carter and not say, "guy has to get his Goose on". It is one of the most misconstrued stories ever told. It was an Olive Branch on the part of Ryan, not a sentencing...With that said, an 800 yard, 12 TD season seems to be instore.

Fair enough, my badd. His time in Philly is a little before my FF time. What I was trying to remember, and now I've looked it up it appears to be the period 1996-1999 where he was averaging 12 TDs per season but only 1100 yards. Of course he was doing this averaging 88 catches, which is PPR gold, and not at all what I was thinking Moss would end up with this season.Regardless, I think he'll have 1-3 games where he actually catches a couple of those deep outs and ends with 150+ yards, which may be enough to barely crack 1000 for the season when all is said and done. But I'm not putting any money on it.

Take away the iffy offensive PI call yesterday
You mean the one where he pushed off with TWO HANDS to create separation? Yeah, real "iffy"...
Even though the replay clearly shows his elbows are bent when pushing, ya "iffy"Anyways, as a Viking fan and Moss owner, it will be interesting to see if Childress becomes logical enough to take a few chances deep down the field or get him involved anymore into the offense down the road. Even if Jackson is in there, with his mobility he should be able to allow Moss more time to get open also, he has a strong arm and can throw the deep ball, so we shall see.
