Willie Parker (1 Viewer)

He broke the fibula which is the better bone to break (vs Tibula) and it usually takes 6-12 weeks to heal. Should be fine by training camp, 30+ weeks away.

You're asking if a broken bone will heal in 9 months?

Boy you really do need help...

Yes, he will be 100%. Will he be the top 5 back everyone expected him to be this season? No. #2 RB at best

Hey Ro3384...no reason for the snide remark in response to his question. A lot of people aren't well versed in medical diagnoses and typical healing times; asking the boards thoughts on whether Willie Parker's injury will be a hindrance in 2008 is a legitimate topic.

no snide remarks meant... just very surprised common sense isn't so common. ADP tore a ligament and was back in 3 weeks, and someone's asking if a broken bone will be healed by 2008 kickoff. If it was a spiral fracture or if he broke it at tendinous insertion points, then there's reason to worry that he may have troubles recovering in the next 9 months, but latest news on Parker (a click away) shows:Dec 24 Parker, the NFL's leading rusher when he broke his right leg Thursday night in St. Louis, was officially lost for the season when the Pittsburgh Steelers placed him on the injured reserve list Monday. Parker underwent surgery on his broken fibula, but is expected to return next season, coach Mike Tomlin said.I guess if my remarks were taken as snide, then I take them back and offer new words: He'll be fine.
