Willis McGahee (1 Viewer)

Clayton reported this morning that he was active AND starting. We were just unsure about his work load. Then we don't see his face the entire game? Whats' the deal? I'm getting nervous.

I'm also curious. I was under the assumption that they would start him and he would get about 5 carries and then sit out, just to see how his knee would react to some action.

I would say wait till later in the week. I think that within the next couple of weeks McGahee will be the starter, lets just be patient. I think the question is, when he does come back, what's his workload? How much will he share?

Considering the Cincy looked horrible, and McClain posted better numbers than Rice, Id expect McGahee to really be the focal point of this offense once hes backI dont see him getting any less than like 80% of the carries. Hes their offensive MVPETA: I own Rice too, so Im not just saying that. I think a 100% Willis will be the workhorse here

I think this was gamesmanship or trickeration by the Ravens. I'm glad to see him get another week to get right.

Best news is that if you were unable to handcuff him is that Rice didn't blow up when he got the opportunity.

:goodposting: This shows the answer to my question in the morning thread. I asked why play McGahee if he's not even 80%, which it sounded like from comments during today and the week. So I think they never intended to play him unless Rice went down with and injury or something. However, I didn't listen to my own gut and I started him in my flex instead. So I guess I was fooled. But honestly I am glad they didn't play him and risk losing him for the year. I think he'll be rocking in Week 2. Rice didn't show a whole lot against a pretty bad Bengals D. At least not enough for these people who think Rice is going to overtake Willis or something. Ridiculous, IMO.It sucks, yes, but hey it's just week one and I played McGahee and I own Palmer, TJ Housh, and Ocho Cinco. So it can't get any worse than week 1, so I'm positive.
