WIS MMXI: Back to the Future Edition - Roster Thread (1 Viewer)

I thought I could get away with Aceves being my 5th starter. Looks like he can't go more than 3 innings though. :kicksrock:

That really ####s me. I have 520 PAs from Aubrey Huff (1B B,B+, OF A+,D-), 90 OPS+ available. Or 418 PAs from Ryan Raburn (D/D defense at 1B, 2B, 3B, and OF), 97 OPS+.

Would be looking for innings from a starting pitcher.

Would you consider trading Aceves for an SP?

Hmm. Maybe. What you thinking?

I was trying to figure out if swapping him for Nova would make my team better. But I think those 50 innings would just get transferred to crappy relievers if I did it, since I've whittled my 'pen down to the point where the back end is worse than Nova.

I've got bats that I can trade for arms. A nice Clint Barmes, useable Endy Chavez, useable Matsui. Just need an innings eater. Somewhere around 100 innings would be nice.

Anyone help a brother out? I don't need much, just someone that makes my team legal.

how many innings does a team need? I've got 1474, but wasn't sure if that was good or bad. If i have enough to spare, would be interested in Barmes.

162*9=1458. Remember WIS gives everybody a 10% bump vs. real-life IPs and PAs. 1474 should be enough but real-life IP/G will impact how efficiently you can use your innings.

A good strategy is to lose all your road games in the 8th inning or earlier. Save yourself 81 innings by avoiding the 9th.

I may be inadvertently using that strategy this season.
