Don't think so. I'll make a proposal.

Something like all Yankees, all Mets, NY Giants, Brooklyn Dodgers.

We could either say 1930-2005 to eliminate the crazy expensive seasons, or make a rule that your 3 most expensive guys can only cost 30mil combined, or maybe both?

 
FYI, don't want to hold things up, but also can't see a TU Memorial without El Champo in the mix.

I have surgery on the 20th, which is next Friday. Shouldn't be a big issue other than that day (when I will literally be out of it, and then, hopefully, only mostly out of it) and then it's a clockless weekend, but wanted to give a heads up.

BTW, was thinking of the big guy yesterday. Miss my football viewing buddy.

 
we should start on the 21st then. percocet Koya is good fun. he should share with the rest of us, of at least me, though.

Second this proposal, and leaning toward the "$30 M combined for top 3 guys" idea.

No one's thinking of using clones in this one, right?

EDIT: Having looked through the WIS Draft Center info ... the "$30 M combined for top 3 guys" scheme will do the trick. No need to restrict seasons -- bring in your New York Highlanders and Brooklyn Bridegrooms. If someone commits too much money to their top player, they'll shut themselves out of a huge pool of talent in the $7-9M range.

To take it a step further, we could also entertain the idea of a salary cap to allow folks to spend as they wish. I think we've only done one with a full-team salary cap over the years, and I seem to remember most enjoying the strategy involved.

Any NY player (Mets, Yankees, NY Giants, Brooklyn Dodgers)
No team-wide salary cap
But your 3 most expensive players cannot cost >30mil combined

We can roll with a 16-team league, 4 divisions of 4 teams with no wild cards, if that's where we're at.

Optional (but strongly suggested) donation of ... I don't know, $10? With half going to a donation and half going to the winner? Does that sound reasonable?
 
I think a few of you are under the impression that participation in these things is optional. Do you not understand the oath you took when you joined this group of uber :bowtie: ?

I forgot all about WIS. I used to love it. I used to bang heads with TU on sports but not music. Good times.
