I was thinking the same thing. Ten or so EST? No that's 4 am here. I can play anyday before 7 pm EST but not after unless it's Friday. We have seven more head to head. Let me know.

What's wrong with 4am? WHERE'S YOUR FREAKIN' DEDICATION, MAN?WTF are you again? Europe somewhere? Bombing UN installations in southern Lebanon?

I am about to head to meetings for most of the day, so probably wont be able to slip in the next two games, but our season ending series I can do when the time comes.

Just took two of three from HARRR, GWB, and Sammy all three good teams. Can't beat Koya at all and can't beat RNR. If I make the playoffs I need to play Sammy because RNR is gonna smoke me. Don't understand why that is because Sammy has a better record.

Big surprise on my team has been 1886 Pete Browning who has been a stud at the top of the order and Hack Wilson who I should have been playing all along (drafted him 2nd so not a surprise per say). Tiant has been great and 08 Mathewson is coming on strong now. I've tried to rest and rotate guys as much as possible.

Buddy Groom, Octavio Dotel, and Sammy Sosa have been horrible. Todd Helton and the 1930 Babe Ruth are hitting well. Roy Campanella has been solid and A ROD although I didn't pick a great year, has been pretty good.

This has been a lot of fun and my goal was just to finish .500. Looks like I'm gonna do that and maybe make the playoffs. Thanks to whoever invited me. :thumbup:

PS: Halos team really stinks.

 
Less than two weeks until the end of the regular season.

Time to get pumped for playoffs - and for the next sim.

I've also been resting guys lately, so I'm not at my peak....Hopefully :unsure:

Alright. I'm going to assume all of you are returning, because this league is a peace of cake to run, simple, and fun. If you somehow hate those things and plan on pulling a lastresort, try to let me know pronto.

This is how bad my season has gotten: I can't even create shtick.

I figured with my season in the terlet I'd have some fun and start Joe Hoerner against ThisGuy (since neither of us are involved in playoff races). I set his pitch count to 150 and set the sim to rarest yank status. I figured at a minimum I'd end up with a chuckle-worthy box score.

But, NO! He ends up getting pulled in the fourth after giving up only nine runs, an outing that's no worse than the typical Gooden effort this season.

my team can't get anything going. just went 3-3 against halos and higgins...the two worst teams in the NL.

season pretty much over at this point.

 
It was a long climb back from the cellar to the wild card. There's so much parity/mediocrity that a number of teams could make the playoffs by putting together a decent hot streak down the stretch.

 
Dear TRE,

Pleae stop beating me by one run. I need to win these games to keep pace with the suddenly unstoppable CaFunkWood. Also, losing by one breaks my heart and makes me angry.

Wow, our division is going right down to the wire.

Also, I don't even know what page this was on. I had to actually search for the thread because I couldn't find it. I'm gonna say it was probably on page 12.

4 game series coming up this weekend. You could put yourself in line for the division and/or lock up the wildcard. Or I could push you back into the pack of wolves chomping at your heels. :popcorn:
