WIS V All-Time Baseball Draft: HARRRRRRRIFIC (3 Viewers)

Unlike koya, this type of vanishing act is rare for Doug
Agreed. Calling the local authorities now. I just hope they can get there in time.
I know, how long until we send out the OFFICIAL search party?
Booking my flight on Orbitz right now. I've already packed my helmet that has the light affixed to the front a la Ted the Caver...
He's back in the thread, I repeat, he is back in the thread. ABORT rescue mission.
On the phone trying to cancel my ticket now. Still wearing the helmet at my desk just for the h3ll of it...

:(

Dam ... how long was I on the clock for?

When I left the office ... I was 12 picks away  This draft hasn't gone that fast at all -- up until now, anyway.

Are the people here behind me ready to pick?

I am presently away from my spreadsheets, but I remember one guy that I want. I will be back near the sheets in 30-45 minutes, then gone for the night. I'd rather wait, but if we can make progress now I'll go ahead and maybe I can even get my next pick in then.

Well, when you put it that way...Harry Heilmann, OF (1923)

Not sure why he tanked so bad in SIM II. Confident that it was an anomaly.

these players were all on my radar:

3B Joe Torry, 1971

OF Cy Seymour, 1905

3B Denny Lyons, 1890

also, I was disappointed with Kiner in Sim II. Got hot near the end of the season but was barely hitting .200 or so at the all-star break I think.

Santana was good. Wound up trading him to Nispey for Tiant and Billy Wagner that year.

I'm not sure how to feel about this

Hey there is a guy who manages the Yanks and his name is Joe Torre. Weird, huh?

I realized I spelled it wrong, but left it up anyway. It's spelled phonetically.

Glad I started Maroth today :wall:
Crap, I'm poison to pitchers. Just picked up Hamels, Maroth, Benson, and Gavin Floyd. And I gave Chris Young a start yesterday.Beware: I just added Sele and O'Connor for next week.

Pumpnick selects Johan Santana 2004
He hung around, I remember he was on your list when you took Guidry in round 5
Great WHIP, great OAV, Great ERA+, but .95 HR/9 could be scary.
HR/ 9 is normalized . Check out the + numbers.
i still say he'll get roughed up by homers.
the normalization is only half the equation though....all these guy's RL stats still count.

I think so too. We'll have to see who gives up more homers; Johan or 1913 Walter Johnson, who has the negative HR/9+...

I'd guess Johan on a HR/IP criteria
