"Wisdom of the Crowds" accuracy (1 Viewer)

How is the "Wisdom of the Crowds" project, working? Is there a way for the accuracy to be checked, by a subscriber here, without pulling up all the past weeks and comparing them against actual totals, themselves? Is there a way to review what questions were asked; so someone can judge if a particular player's ranking that they're looking at, is not just happenstance. Is there a way to see how many responses were made to a particular question. Are yours, and others, picks/projections made isolated from this data, or is it possibly swaying your choices (safety in numbers sort of thing)? Are there any way to check other rankings that are made here; it would be great if past week rankings were accompanied by a column, for the players on where they actually placed (just to see if a particular prognosticator is consistently wrong or right on a particular player). If any of this stuff is done now, then I apologize; please, just direct me where to find it.

The concept of the "WOTC" project is fascinating to me, where you are just looking sheer volume of responses to create a level of accuracy; of course the weighting of certain respondents answers, over others, is a variable that would have to judiciously applied so as not skew results into educated guesses. I would love to know what your analysis of application of the concept, is.

I agree that it is fascinating to know how many people are thinking the same way on anything, not just football. I also agree that the wotc service would be much more valuable if it showed accuracy reports the following week. Maybe they already do this I don't know I haven't checked, but something like:

Prior to Week 7: 7000 people are starting Jackie battle over (insert another flex rb)

Then post week7: (flex rb) out scores Jackie battle. Wotc accuracy was off.

For me personally, I would use a service like wotc in many cases to confirm me doing the opposite. Most ofthe time when it comes to fri he starters the crowds get it wrong. That's why no one but a select few picked up Jackie battle before week 5, and that's why after each week you look at the venting thread and it's always insanely longer than the bragging thread IMO.

At the end of the day I am going to go with my analysis and my gut on my lineup calls regardless of what the wotc says.

But it's still fascinating. An even more fascinating concept for playing the stock mkt. there actually is a hedge fund out there now thy bases it's trades on the chatter and sentiment on certain stocks on twitter!!

It would be even better if the folks who 'rate the raters' after the end of the season could include these predictions in their analysis.
