There''s 2 or 3 possible outcomes and I want to know when we open the USA Today sports section and grab our NFL team pencils to write down the scores, what's it gonna look like?

-Chubb, 20 carries - 100 yds and. TD?

-Pierce 15 carries, 60 yds

-Woody - 12 to 15 touches including 3-5 catches, 60-100 total yds, in PPR he might hit double digits

or None of the above, all 3 will be rendered useless with a pass happy system and no lead RB plus a very suspect OL that won't open many holes for them anyways

why not Pierce?

I don't follow HOU, but some of you who do have been saying for the past two years...

Piece sucks BECAUSE the team changed the scheme, yeah?

I'm pretty sure some of you said they went back to the scheme that works for him at the end of the season and his final game was 19/176 for 9.2 yds/carry. Isn't that scheme the same as his rookie year where he went 220/939 for 4.2 yds/carry 30 catches for 165 yards?

Ogunbowale is 31yo, Chubb is 29, and Marks hasn't taken a regular season snap, so...?

Muddled mess between Chubb & Pierce, with Woody & Dare mixing in + receiving work.

But…

if someone’s going to catch fire & HOU goes with the hot hand, I’d bet on Woody being that guy. And if they get down in the game as a result, Woody should be their go-to in the receiving game.

Neither Pierce nor Chubb has looked very good this preseason. Woody has looked better than his draft stock.

then again, maybe it’s just a muddled mess like I said in my 1st post & takes a month for HOU to figure out how to manage without Mixon. RBBC from Hell seems most likely.

Chubb had one of the lowest yds per carry of any lead RB in the NFL at 3.3
How is that going to improve in 2025?
He'll be healthier and in a better offense?

I think this is gonna be an ugly committee, and I doubt any RB on this team is more than a middling flex option. If I had to bet on any of them it'd be Chubb because he's done it before and is currently the starter. I also think people think Houston is gonna be better than they are. I think this team isn't gonna make the playoffs, and I'm not sure the OC change solved anything. Slowik had some issues, but he was hardly the biggest one.

Neither Pierce nor Chubb has looked very good this preseason.
Chubb had 5 yards per carry this preseason. Sure, peak Chubb would have had more, but its not like he was bad.

For upcoming drafts I will be going after Pierce mainly because his price is a lot cheaper than Chubb. Marks is another target but I may just wait and take whichever lasts longer between Marks and Pierce. Basically let someone else make the wrong decision and then take the leftovers.
