Wk. 15 Waivers Right Now - For Those With Bye Weeks (1 Viewer)

Yeah, that's a good point. I'm trying to decide. We have short benches so I stream D/ST and K and keep RBs on hand, big-time.

It's easy to roster if you have deep benches; not so much with shallow ones.

Right now I have Crosby and the LAR, but Wk 15 is Seattle. I'm not liking what I see on the wire, either.

if Tyrod continues to sit, look at Miami vs the real Peterman in wk15 - the Fish just demolished the Donks.  under the radar, smoothie special.

I loaded up on RB.  We also have a short bench - 5 spots total.  One of those 5 is consumed by Zeke - just got to make it to week 16 (although of course he faces the Seahawks that week).  In fact, everybody on my bench is an RB.  The rest of that RB stable is Dion Lewis, Rex Burkhead, Jay Ajayi, Derrick Henry, Mike Davis, Tarik Cohen.  I've got Julio and Nuk as my top 2 WR, and only Goodwin after that, so feeling thin there.  Olsen at TE.  But there is nothing on the wire at WR or TE for that matter.  Goff is my QB, and Stafford, Dalton and Bortles are all on the wire at the moment, so if necessary I think I'll have options at QB to pick up next week.

I've got the Jaguars at DST and Zuerlein at K - if I do win it will almost certainly be because of those 2 spots.  I'm normally a streamer at those 2 so it's kind of weird to be sitting in that position.

I also don't understand why any of the guys on my team are playing this week - I have a bye.  I don't want any of them to get hurt.  Oh, sure, THEY want to win a Super Bowl.  Well, so do I - doesn't that count for anything in this world?

Good thread idea.

Aaron Rodgers, if he is for any reason available on your wire. I scooped him up a few weeks ago, but looks like he is on track for a WK 15 start, which will become much more probable if GB handles CLE this weekend and remains in the hunt.

As far as Ds, Miami is good, DEN might be on the wire and while they aren't all world anynmore I like the match-up even on the road vs IND. DET v CHI looks tasty, and there may be some availability in your league of TEN (@SF) or for the less risk averse, ARI or WAS (who play each other and are both not looking great on O), and maybe ATL v TB.

with how awful the Broncos offense looks, maybe the Colts D is actually the better play in week 15

and caveat on all those D streamers who are/were targeting the 49ers as easy prey ... this will be a more proficient offense going forward with Jimmy G/Goodwin/Taylor/Murphy /Hyde/Breida - not saying they're all of a sudden a juggernaut to be avoided, but, they are gonna surprise a few folks down the stretch, imo - especially those Jaguar D owners who are salivating at the week 16 prospects ... temper expectations a wee bit, it's not gonna be the points orgy you all envisioned.

Gio Bernard is still out there on the wire.  He goes @ Vikings for week 15 and home vs. Lions week 16.  I'm assuming Mixon is back for 15 and the Vikings are a terrible matchup anyway so I've left him there.  Anybody disagree?

Although I'm shocked that the teams still alive and playing this week have left him out there.  PPR too.

If you have room and they are available, I would suggest getting a few backup RBs that are in good offenses and would stand to have a sizable workload if the starters get hurt. Thinking of the James Connors of the world, maybe Rod Smith, Ekeler, etc.

Not only would you have them, but would keep away from opponents.

Currently have Greg Olsen as my TE.  Any suggestions about picking up one of the guys below, either instead of Olsen or as a backup to Olsen?  I'd probably drop Tarik Cohen for one of them.  PPR league.

Greg Olsen - 15 vs. Packers, 16 vs. Buccs (all of weeks 14-16 are home on grass, and he was full practice all 3 days this week)

Ben Watson (Baltimore) - 8.1 ppg avg - 15 @ Browns, 16 vs. Colts
Vernon Davis (Washington) - 7.8 ppg avg - 15 vs. Cardinals, 16 vs. Broncos
Jordan Reed (Washington) - 5.0 ppg avg - 15 vs. Cardinals, 16 vs. Broncos
Stephen Anderson (Houston) - 5.0 ppg avg - 15 @ Jaguars, 16 vs. Steelers
David Njoku (Cleveland) - 7.1 ppg avg - 15 vs. Ravens, 16 @ Bears
Julius Thomas (Miami) - 7.6 ppg avg - 15 @ Bills, 16 @ Chiefs
Charles Clay (Buffalo) - 7.0 ppg avg - 15 vs Dolphins, 16 @ Patriots

Yeah, that's very true. But it separates the wheat from the chaff, IMO. A pickup of a D or K right now could mean the difference between advancing and not.
Kind of happy with what I have; only two holes are QB and TE. 12 team full PPR

QB: Prescott, Smith (probably go with Dak in the semis and Alex Week 16 if I advance.)

WR: Allen and Cooks are must starts. Maybe Funchess & Smith-Schuster (Flex) over Gordon and Woods both weeks but it's close Week 16.

RB: Bell is a must start. Perine Week 15, torn between Collins and Mixon Championship week.

TE: Ricky Seals-Jones both weeks? Depends on reports on Olsen, who has tough matchups both weeks.

K: In Lutz we trust.

DST: Ravens all the way, great matchups. Holding Chargers just because I don't want to give them away.

Top names on the wire people gave up on:

Brate, Blount, Packers, Butker, Parker, Martin, Reed, Bengals, Woodhead, Stewart.

Intrigues me:

Conner (I should handcuff Bell), Doctson - bad matchups, I'll never use him - A. Jones, Crosby, Stephen Anderson, Garoppolo, Trent Taylor, Tion Green, Coons, Njoku.

Pretty sure the best course is let it ride, I won the points title for a reason and many of my guys have been hot of late.

I currently have the Jaguars DST, but there are also 2 other good DSTs on the wire.  I have a short bench and Zeke is consuming one spot already, so not a lot of room for carrying extras, but I'd give these some consideration.

Jaguars - 14.3 ppg avg - 15 vs. Texans, 16 @ 49ers
Rams - 11.3 ppg avg - 15 @ Seahawks, 16 @ Tennessee
Eagles - 10.1 ppg avg - 15 @ Giants, 16 vs. Raiders

Week 15 I'm pretty sure I am rolling with the Jaguars, but 16 the Eagles are at home, Raiders traveling cross country.  Jaguars are in the reverse position - they travel across the country, and the 49ers are not the joke offense they were earlier this year.  I might try to scoop them up next week after I see how this week plays out and who looks most expendable from the rest of my roster.  With Zeke back in 16 I won't need to overload the RB spot any more so if one of those guys disappoints he'd be the first to go.

I picked up Robert Woods in one league.

He should be back week 15 against Seattle.  Assuming he shows well enough he could be a starter week 16 at Tennessee

Practiced yesterday and upgraded to Q. Week 16 is a great matchup but would be great to see him back for both games leading up to it.

I’m really grateful I have a bye because my guys have a lot of tough matchups this week. December football always has weird outcomes, though. The combination of hungry teams fighting to get in and imploding teams giving up leads to some wacky results. Guys who haven’t done anything all year seeing tons of targets / touches due to either injuries or teams wanting to evaluate young talent. Or guys who are simply the last man standing going on an Aaron Stecker (2007) run.

I've got two pickups to burn before games start tmrw and this is who I am eying for week 15:

* QB: Jimmy G (vs TN). Great matchup. Have a feeling he could help many. I'm a R. Wilson owner so don't really have a need but may pick him up as insurance or even play him this week instead of Wilson.

* RB:

- M. Breida. Hyde owner looking to lockdown these touches for above Jimmy G matchup reasons.

- A. Jones. Don't love the matchups, but if McCarthy makes him #1 again volume is king.

* DEFENSE: Currently have Denver @Indy but feeling uneasy. Considering:

- DET vs CHI: Doubt Chicago can put up a ton of points, but also expect J. Howard to run wild.

- WASH vs AZ: No AP probably.

- MIA @BUF for above mentioned reasons.
