I was horrified yesterday to discover that a woodpecker has created several substantial holes in my siding on my second level. I've called for a termite inspection, but I doubt I have any. Regardless, I want to more barriers. Yes, I can shoot them but I'm not home a lot, or sleeping, and my wife won't shoot them. Some google research (http://www.wikihow.com/Get-Rid-of-Woodpeckers) indicated an ultra sonic sound system mimicking owl sounds.

Anybody have any idea where I can find such a thing?

mother######### I've got a woodpecker destroying my deck, I had no idea what it was until my 7 year old daughter actually caught the culprit in action. I was leaning toward evil wood bees with laser eyes until that point.

I have a few of these guys in the area,Pileated Woodpecker's and they are about the size of a small crow.

They sound like a jack hammer hitting the wood and they do serious damage to the trees.Tried to run them off with no success so far.

lol....contacted a local exterminator....his recommendation was to install "brick siding"
