World Series Tickets (1 Viewer)

World Series Tickets if it's in Cleveland:

Game 2 tickets were standing room only within seconds of going on sale.

Game 1 tickets were completely sold out within 1.5 minutes (at least that fast).

I ended up with 4 Upper Level tickets on the 1st base side for Game 7. So here's hoping for a nice long series with a Tribe championship in Game 7. :excited:

I was logged in to buy tickets within a second or two of them going on sale. I don't know if they simply didn't have 4 tickets together anywhere in the stadium or what for Game 2 but it said that they didn't have any tickets available. I had to try best available and seats not together. That gave me standing room only. Since my grandma is probably going to go, that was not an option. So I tried Game 1. All tickets sold out. Games 6 and 7 had blocks for 4 together, but I don't have the vacation time to take from Wednesday through the weekend off to head to Ohio so Game 7 it was.

Go Indians!

Wow....

Back in 2003, I got on the phone here in Florida along with everyone else wanting to go to a game. While they all called the FL ticketmaster outlets, I called Vermont. Got through on the 1st ring to a human, asked the lady for 8 seats (max allowed) and she asked why I was calling Vermont. I told her, "You are all on the same network, correct?"

"Yes"

"Then gimme my 8 seats dammit"

$65 a seat got us up one row in front of Uecker, but at least we were there.

Giant disaster for the Rockies ticket office. I knew they'd blow this. They just announced a press conference since hardly anyone is able to access the site and stay on through checkout.

Same thing happened in Detroit last year. Some got through but most of us got to the purchase screens and then it timed out. I've heard through people I know in tickets that brokers will have those machines that replicate 100 PCs and have ten of them running at once. That jams the systems and to me is BS. Maybe someone has had a good experience with these on-line sales, I've just never heard of one.

Where are you guys having trouble getting in? I can't even get the main window to open.. just clicking the first page where you pick the day and getting a blank page after that

After an hour, I got through, selected my 4 tickets, retyped the funky word, put my email and password in, then couldn't go any further. The page stopped forever, then kicked me out.

You are supposed to go to a waiting room. I have been in this room about 4 times. I usually get kicked off after a short time.

They just suspended sales and are going to try and remedy the problem. According to them, "most" tickets are still available.

Amid a crowd chanting "We want tickets," Rockies spokesperson Jay Alves announced World Series ticket sales have been suspended on Monday. He says they will announce new plans to sell the tickets at some point later Monday afternoon

Well at least they aren't just going to continue with the :goodposting:I'd say this is a very good business move and fan friendly.

At what point do these teams just ditch Ticket-hustler and do the sales themselves?

The Yankees actually sort of got smart this year and had a lottery to give away a password to get into the public sale which I'm guessing killed the brokers.

Who was eligible for the lottery? Was there a ticket limit per customer? I hate the broker involvement in these sales. They get enough good tickets from people with tickets in hand that want to make a buck anyway. These types of sales are for the fans that are either out of town, or can't afford $750 for one seat. I love how States/cities are all over street scalpers but these brokers act above the law with their disclaimers.

Alves stated only a few hundred tickets were sold and they will try and remedy the problem by late this afternoon. They said they had 8.5 million hits in 1.5 hours and only 18,000 seats available.

They had a presale for non-full season ticket holders which ate up almost all the tickets which required a password. You could by 2 seats per series to the ALDS, ALCS and WS, so 6 tickets in total. They then had an on-line lottery for the ALDS and ALCS where if you won you could buy 2 total tickets, thugh by that time all that was left was singles. They were also going to do the lottery for a password for the WS if they got to the ALCS, but never had to do that. Don't know how successful they were in keeping hte scalpers out, but it did prevent Ticketmaster from overloading.

Not yet. Got Brother in FLA running 5 machines... GF running 2 and myself with 3. No luck yet (on conf call)

Scroll up.

GF somehow accidentally found backdoor entry into ticket system 15 mins before tickets went on sale. We had 6-7 systems in the waiting room at 12:50.

(waiting room - ticket order page actually only came up at 1:00 sharp when going through coloradorockies.com or worldseries.com.

GB women.

We'll see if it helps wiht these random ### waiting rooms...

Hrmm Odd. I coudlnt' get in where she was at until 1 without using the link. Oh well.. any luck?
God Bless Denver IP addresses. No luck whatsoever. And honestly there is no line. Once you are in the room, you're in there with a million people. It's all random. Lines don't actually exist in the VWR.

Buncha Johnny come lately's. Half of them will end up on Ebay when they can't afford the short notice plane tickets. Boston to Denver in short notice approaches $1000 round trip.
GB Soutwest/Airtran/Frontier out of memphis area
Frontier's the Joint. I used to take it back and forth from Denver and Nashville on short dollars.

I'm gonna sell my extra's to a ticket broker to pay for the flights....if I get in.

My guess is that a server was able to get in and figure out the actual servers doing the actual selling and is doing a DoS attack on it. I know they were trying to save face, but admitting that yesterday was the result of an attack was a HUGE mistake. It was blood in the water for all the hackers out there.

The guy on SOSH says he got 119 which are good seats. This also leads me to believe they are boged down and plenty of seats are available.

Surprisingly RT from NYC was only $235 when I priced it out 5 minutes ago. On Delta from JFK
