Worst Family Feud player ever (1 Viewer)

It wasn't even close to the worst ever. She happened to give three of the same answers as her partner and had trouble coming up with a second answer while under pressure.

I think my wife talked to me about this. First guy gets 182 and she gets zero. But I've seen the game set up this way - all 5 questions have 1 overwhelmingly obvious #1 answers - then the rest are really a stretch. When you factor in you're getting the buzzer every time for giving the same answer and time is ticking I can see it happening. After the first answer the others were not easy to come up with.

I've never heard of people being "deeply in" anything but love...only other thing I can think of is ####, like "you're in deep ####".

Stomach -- ache

Check watch -- train station, bus stop, waiting room

Noisy insect -- maybe cicada but that's a tough one too

Odds of banging a 10 -- I would expect 4 through 8 to be up there. 4 getting zero was a surprise.

Yeah, overall a pretty tough board.

Debt
We're talking average Americans here, not FBGs.

Debt is a good one. Still a pretty tough one to come up with under pressure.

Deeply in debt was the first one I thought of. I guess love fits too, but that didn't cross my mind for some reason.

Check watch should have been easy. Airport is first, but there are plenty others to choose from.. e.g. at work, church.

How does 5 get 31 points but 4 get 0. Something seriously wrong with that.
They can skew the results any way they want. Go to the gym and ask 100 good-looking guys or ask 100 male Walgreens employees, you're going to get vastly different responses.

:goodposting: From an old episode, for "name a 3-lettered animal", the first contestant said "frog" . Bad enough there until the partner said "alligator".

In any 1-10 question, 5 is going to be a huge answer. I actually think 10 might've been 2nd highest, for the unrealistic guys and possibly a large number that didn't understand the question.

Then a boatload of answers scattered between 1 and 3. 2 was probably low but got a few.

People just never think in terms of 40%. The 40% crowd would've either answered 5 or gone lower with 3. I'd bet 6 also got next to nothing.

I bet all the 1-10 questions get almost all the answers on 1,3,5,7,10.

that's probably what she was thinking as the clock was ticking down.

I agree with both of these posts.

Brutal way for the family to lose, regardless.

I like how people in this thread are giving what their answers would have been WITH ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD TO THINK ABOUT THEM!

"On the scale of 1-10 what are you chances getting with a perfect 10?"

How did this question make it into a game like family feud? It boggles the mind.

I do think "debt" should have popped into most people's minds pretty quickly, and certainly would have scored enough to seal the deal for her family. But overlooking one obvious answer doesn't even put her on the radar for worst FF player ever. Some of these knuckleheads are youtube legendary for their stupidity. This is more just sad and unfortunate.

Pretty much this.

"I should go on Jeopardy. I answer a lot of the questions correctly. And if I can't think of the answer right away the contestants usually give the answer I was probably going to say."

Nobody is saying she didn't get dealt a bad hand or that they would've done better.

Debt was the answer that would've saved her, and I'd bet she would've gotten it if were the first question asked. But it was the last, and she was frazzled by then and pretty much out of time.

If this is going to be a message board topic, MMQB'ing it with all the time in the world is just going to take place. Unless somebody's going to figure out a message board simulation forcing everybody to answer everything in a few seconds.

I was trying to do it with her as it was going on and, with the answers already taken, that was really tough even without the pressure of being in front of a live studio audience, on television, with $20k on the line.

I'm surprised that "four" got zero points but I think you've got to stick with the obvious numbers there. 0, 5, or 10.

ETA: There was 1 second left when she got the buzzer for saying "love".

OK

Favorite FF answer:

"Name a vehicle that can legally go over the speed limit"

"Lemme see...HELICOPTER!"

This game show is pretty stupid. Besides the fact that the bottom 3 answers are always ridiculously stupid one offs, they aren't even playing for a lot of money...

$25k divided by 5 97 people rarely win anyways)? This has to be the lowest paying game show on TV, right? On top of the fact that basically nobody ever wins the final anyways. We take those 170 points and multiply by $5, we have $850 divided by 5, everyone gets $170.

The most money ever won was $160k or $32k per person... This is the record for this show. Typical winnings are usually in the 3 figure range. Not a fan.

If I'm ranking game shows that are currently on air:

Jeopardy

Price is Right

Wheel of Fortune

Lets Make a Deal

Family Feud

This is terrible analysis. Why should the viewers care how much money the contestants make? The show is good because it is fun.

Ill take 3 figures for half hour of work

I'm just saying in the universe of game shows, I find Family Feud to be less enjoyable than others.

Maybe if the host made out with the women again, that would bring some flavor back to the show.

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire - pretty much can guarantee yourself $32,000 without having to sweat it.

Steve Harvey has been good in the clips I've seen, but I'm not a regular watcher.

Whether you find the show enjoyable is your opinion obviously however I dont understand why how much money they win has any effect on your enjoyment level.

The jackpot has increased with inflation, but the $5 a point consolation in fast money is still the same as in the 1970s. Plus you won you score amount prior to fast money in $1 per point, which is no longer done.
