It looks like the leader of the pack gets the check mark and an asterisk!*

Allegedly videotaping your opponents to gain an edge will make even good teams appear great!*

I think the Giants are a unique situation. The team that won the Super Bowl is not the same team that was on the field in the middle of the season. All of the numbers seem to indicate that they are measurably the worst winner, but I would argue that not many other teams were able to overcome the injuries and personnel changes that the Giants did and still make it to the Super Bowl. I'm sure there are other teams that were in similar position, but fell short in the playoffs.

Just as an observation, the '05 Steelers took a similar road to the Super Bowl, but beat a mediocre Seahawks team in unimpressive fashion. I would say that the Giants of this year would have easily beat that team, so I can't say they are the worst.

Finally, if the Giants win another Super Bowl in the next couple of years with Eli, Jacobs, Umenyiora, Coughlin, etc. the perception of this year will change for the better.

This was basically my take a bunch of posts ago - to me, we are not talking about matching up SB winning teams as they were during week 7. Take the team that WON the superbowl... imagine they are healthy, and play the next week against another of the SB winning teams. Who wins that game? THAT to me gives the "answer" to which team is the better team.I would suggest that if the Giants beat THIS New England team, that same team certainly could have/would have beaten the '01 Pats light. And other SB winners as well.
