All the snarkiness aside, it's a perfectly valid CONVERSATION thread guys. If you don't like the thread, then don't jump into it.Look, as an Eagles fan, while I certainly agree the odds of us being in the Luck sweepstakes are slim, I also think it's fair to ask the question of any 1-4 team, particularly one with glaring holes that appear unfixable. Putting to bed all the "Philly won't lose that many games" viewpoints, let's say for the sake of conversation Philly does finish with a chance to draft Luck. Would they? I think they ABSOLUTELY would, whether it was Andy still in charge or, more likely, the new head coach.

Can't see it...new coach or not. The holes are on defense. Even if you aren't sold on Vick long-term, he's at worst an above average starter. Then you've still got a kid currently at backup that's shown at least some flashes. If you're in that spot, you can trade back for (presumably in the new CBA) multiple 1st and 2nd round picks. If you don't like Kafka, you could draft a defensive player to fill a hole and STILL get a 1st or 2nd round QB to stash and learn behind Vick.It's a theoretical with near 0% chance of happening....but even if it happened the odds of taking Luck are also close to nil.

I think it is fair to say that if the Eagles get the #1 pick then Andy Reid is probably gone. So A lot of what happens with the Pick dependson who the Eagles bring in as head coach. If they bring in Cowher, then I could definitely see him wanting to get Luck and building the rest ofthe team around him.I am not saying the Eagles would definitely get Cowher, I am just saying that the new coach will have a lot of impact on what the Eagles woulddo in that situation. So I think the % chance of the Eagles getting Luck would definitely be more than close to nil.
