WR Brian Thomas Jr., JAX (4 Viewers)

Even if he's fully healthy, which he isn't, it just seems that any positive traits Lawrence has as a QB are not really suited to BTJ's game. I can easily see Jakobi coming in and outperforming him by a good margin RoS. Particularly in PPR formats.
Yeah......I also like Parker better right now because he looks like he's got the slot role to himself in ppr formats.

Yeah, Washington looks like he's filling the Godwin role in Hunter's absence. I wonder if Jakobi will factor in the slot. I've always thought he was more suited to that than being an outside WR but, what do I know?

Great. I literally have two open starting spots in one league with byes and injuries.

Yeah, bust of the year. But only have myself to blame. The signs were there with Jones gone, Lawrence at QB and Hunter being drafted #2 overall.

My feelings about Thomas is to write this year off and think towards the future, because I sure as hell will not sell low. What he did last year isn’t a fluke. Michael Clayton? I hope not.
I agree that in dynasty he’s a hold over a sell-low. I doubt his value drops much more since folks already see this year as a bust.

I sold pretty close to full value, using him as a piece to upgrade to Goff + Ja’Marr Chase. From Penix + BTJ. No ragrets.

I cut him in my 10 teamer with short benches 3 weeks ago and felt great about it. He got picked up last week, started and immediately dropped once his new "owner" realized the script. He is, as mentioned, a total 0 this year in redraft. Dynasty may well be a different story of course.

I feel bad reporting this but he is junk, a total 0 in all formats
It's the all formats comment that gives me a lot of pause.
Same. What BTJ did in fantasy his rookie season was surpassed only by Moss, OBJ, Chase, and Puka historically. He’s in rare company. Granted, none of those guys faceplanted in their second season the way BTJ has. But I find it hard to believe that someone can come in and dominate their first year in the league to the extent BTJ did, and not be able to continue doing so as his career goes on. Something has to give though, it’s just not happening with him and Lawrence.

Bolded says it all IMO

I don't have him in dynasty so not wishful thinking that they trade him, but he needs to get away from Lawrence. Below average passer who is living off his draft status as the #1 overall pick and a supposed "generational talent". He's not.

I know, I really do. But this season has been an absolute disaster. It’s enough to make me totally reconsider his whole outlook. Obviously I was exaggerating a bit. I wouldn’t drop from my dNasty team if I had him but I would looking for a trade somewhere between now and week 1 of 2026.

Jags are ruining their franchise by insisting on having him be there QB, think they are deluded that he was #1 overall and
that makes him a top QB when he really is nothing special

They will never win a thing with him as their QB

Wanted to try and buy BTJ low in dynasty. Have him on 2 teams already and got one team of mine decidedly on the outside of the playoffs after a nice 13 year run so starting to work on a rebuild I should have started 2-3 years ago.

FFPC one start QB:

Offered Mahomes and Deebo. Rejected.

They countered with Mahomes and Devonta. I rejected it.

Just providing data points.
Ended up using the Mahomes/Deebo package in this league to get Tet.

Now just got offered BTJ for Marvin in this league with a third thrown in. I’ve liked the way Marv has looked with a full sized QB throwing to him so got to think about it a little, still having a hard time shaking how good BTJ looked in second half last year.

For those with BTJ in redrafts what are you doing? I have him in a 10 team 0.5 PPR redraft. If I drop him all that is out there are players like:

Jax players - Washington, Meyers, Hunter - Washington may be good in the short term but playing Texans this week is no go for me. Who knows how this will shake out as Meyers gets more acclimated and then when Hunter gets back. Along with their schedule this may be a total avoid. I actually had picked up Hunter when it appeared he was about to be featured more only for him to get injured.
Ind - Downs (Feels like limited upside)
SF - Bourne - Not sure when Pearsall is really coming back. This might be worth it but since Jennings got healthy his upside seems limited.
Car - Legette or Coker

Right now my WR squad is decimated and down to Quincy Johnston, Alex Pierce, C. Watson, and BTJ. Next week I plan to drop an extra Kicker I needed for this week and pick up Evans who I can ship to IR next week as expecting Benson comes off it. If I can get that far he can help in the playoffs.

Just not sure anything out there is worth dropping him for at the moment.
