Corey Bradford is suposed to be the starter next to Roy Williams but as far as I can see he hasn't caught a pass in the preseason.

Anybody no what the deal is?

psst, Corey Bradford sucks, that's the deal!
He's started both games, but he hasn't shown much . . . 1 catch for 24 in the first game . . . blanked last game . . . they rotated about 7 or 8 recievers (even with the first team) so he wasn't in on all the snaps . . .

no problem . . .

Bradford sucks...did anybody even know he was still in the league?
he may stink, but what does that say about M Williams (Mel Kiper's top pick last year) or Charles Rogers (most people's favorite pick in 2003) . . .
Salisbury Steak said M. Williams would be a hall of famer one day
how does that guy even keep his job???
Pedigree. He went to the University of Spoiled Children.

I thought that was the University of Texas . . .

For what it's worth, its been reported that Detroit is not running any of the plays in the games that they are practicing. Martz is keeping the games real vanilla and not giving anything away.

Not sure if that has anything to do with Bradford, or if he just sucks, but thought you guys might like to know that. Granted it's Kowalski, but this part sounds like pure observation, not one of his pet stories:

Q: Not everything was negative in the preseason. What is the best thing to emerge in the first two games?

A: There's not a lot there. Perhaps a glimmering of this offense. There were more receivers open in this offense in the first two games than there were all of last year. They're not showing a ton, but they're showing enough that says this offense is going to work. "A lot of the things they're doing in practice that I see every day, I have not seen in the preseason games. So they're holding back a lot. When you're putting in new schemes offensively and defensively it takes time to adapt. You have to be patient. In the preseason and in the early part of the regular season they'll still be learning.

paging LHUCKS
Bradford = ValueWhat exactly do you have to lose here...a 15th round pick?? You wont find much better upside in the 15th round at WR than Martz' #2 WR.
:goodposting: Your right LHUCKS, especially with Roy's injury history, that could be worth even a #1 receiver in a Mike Martz offense. Someone has to get those 4500+ passing yards, mind as well be Bradford. Bradford = Value

It should be more like 3600-3900 total passing yards, but this offense doesn't go to the TE much so that allows more yards to go elsewhere. I've been touting Bradford since May, but let's not get carried away and expect Ike Bruce numbers just because it's a Martz offense. This team has to fully assimilate this offense first. Bradford's a potential 800 / 6 guy, depending on whether M Williams ever gets his act together and cuts into Bradford's numbers enough to reduce them to, say, 600 / 4. I'm not holding my breath that Williams will make such an impact in 2006 because I just don't think he's learning the new offense quickly enough to be a big factor. 2007 could be another story. Rogers is history BTW, as I've also been saying since May.Those who simple-mindedly dismiss him with "Bradford can't get decent numbers. He sucks!" might as well be saying "Baaaaaaa baaa baa baa baaaaaa. Ba baaaa!" to me. It means just about as much. Go draft Williams and Rogers instead, sheep, because they were first round picks. Wow, they must be great! While you're at it, hurry and get David Terrell. He must be great too.

Agree with you here but last I heard, wasnt Mike getting some praise from the WR coach? Also, there was talk of him doing a little return work. Any news on that? May boost his value significantly in leagues that reward points for return yardage. I think you nailed the projections on him.
