Quit harshing my mellow. That Lions team may have had the worst pass defense in NFL history.
Exactly. Moore had a 1,000 yard season with Cam, and CMC had his 2nd best season with him.Never thought I would type these words, but “Cam Newton would be an enormous upgrade!”
![]()
Look; he won’t be great, but he knows how to dump it off to CMC & should be able to find Moore.
As a shareholder of both in my non-rebuilding league I would LOVE a Cam signing.
I very much look forward to complaining about how terrible he is.It’s happening. He’s signing.
I very much look forward to complaining about how terrible he is.
Such a shame.Time to be disappointed in another QB that can't get Moore the ball.
Not an argument at all.has arguably better weapons than Cam has ever had in his career.
ExactlyWhatever keeps Darnold from starting an nfl game again.
D.J. Moore caught 4-of-10 targets for 103 yards in the Panthers' Week 12 loss to the Dolphins.
Moore easily paced the Panthers with his 10 targets, but Cam Newton completed just 5-of-21 throws before being benched for P.J. Walker in the fourth quarter. Newton's lone meaningful completion was a 64-yarder to Moore to set up the Panthers' only touchdown. It was actually underthrown after Moore had multiple steps on the defense. With the aid of garbage time, Moore went over 100 yards for the first time since Week 4. He's devolved into a WR2/3 in Carolina's run-oriented offense but remains the team's clear-cut target hog. Moore gets the Week 13 bye before the Falcons in two weeks.

Panthers head coach Matt Rhule said D.J. Moore (hamstring) is "day to day."
Moore played through various injuries -- including the hamstring issue -- in his six-catch, 84-yard performance against the Falcons in Week 14. Fantasy managers should expect Moore to be limited in practice this week; he should have a chance to suit up against the Bills unless the injury is worse than Rhule has indicated. Robby Anderson would probably absorb more targets if Moore misses time. In Carolina's dead-on-arrival offense, that might not mean much.

Panthers coach Matt Rhule said he expects D.J. Moore (hamstring) to play in Week 15 against the Bills.
Moore was a limited participant in practice Wednesday. He led the Panthers with 10 targets last week despite briefly leaving the game multiple times because of the hamstring issue and a wrist injury. The Panthers' offensive has fallen off a cliff since P.J. Walker and Cam Newton took over. Moore has one touchdown and one 100-yard performance in his previous nine games. He projects as a low-ceiling WR2 versus Buffalo this week.

FBG is high on him. One slight advantage is that the Bills' offense isn't humming like earlier in the season. That takes some of the pressure off of the Panthers, so if they don't have to push it on offense they potentially could have a decent showing. The Panthers' offense though is a true gamble right now.Starting him this week with a difficult matchup and struggling QB's?
I have Claypool in over him at the moment.Starting him this week with a difficult matchup and struggling QB's?
I am debating between him and Gage in one leagueStarting him this week with a difficult matchup and struggling QB's?
D.J. Moore (hamstring) is questionable for Week 15.
Panthers head coach Matt Rhule said Thursday that Moore should be able to suit up this week against the Bills. He was in and out of the lineup in Week 14 as he struggled through the hamstring issue. Moore is a precarious low-end WR2 against a tough Buffalo secondary. Moore has a 27 percent target share over the past five weeks. He has a strong 40 percent air yards share over that stretch.

D.J. Moore (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday.
It's a downgrade from last week when Moore was limited all week before playing against the Bills. Perhaps he suffered some sort of setback, or the Panthers are giving Moore some veteran rest. Moore has one touchdown since Week 4. He's an every-week WR3 solely on being the Panthers' lone reliable pass catcher and target hog.

D.J. Moore (hamstring) did not practice on Thursday for the second consecutive day.
This is definitely trending towards a pessimistic side of questionable at best for Moore, who played on the hamstring injury last week but also got in limited practices leading up to Week 15's game against the Bills. The Friday injury report will, as usual, complete the forecast. Fantasy managers with Moore should be ready to pivot to other options, especially since the Panthers passing game has been rough for months anyway.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports D.J. Moore (hamstring) is expected to play in Week 16 against the Buccaneers.
After missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday, Moore was upgraded to a limited participant to close the week. He'll be playing alongside Sam Darnold for the first time since Week 9. Moore started strong with Darnold but things went off the rails quickly. He peaked at 73 yards over Darnold's last five games. Moore can only be trusted as a low-end WR2 this week.

D.J. Moore (hamstring) is active for Week 16 against the Bucs.
Moore missed two practices to open the week but got in a limited session on Friday. He hasn't been able to produce a ceiling performance in over a month but it's possible that the return of Sam Darnold helps him get there. Still, Darnold was struggling before being placed on IR with a shoulder injury so fantasy managers shouldn't get too excited about Moore. He remains a low-end WR2 versus the Bucs.

Panthers signed WR D.J. Moore to a three-year, $61.9 million contract extension.
Initially reported as a four-year extension, the deal is adding three years onto his current contract, which was set to expire after the upcoming season. It features $41.6 million in guaranteed money. Moore has topped 1,100 receiving yards in each of the past three seasons and will only be 25 years old when the upcoming season starts. With Chrisitan McCaffrey banged up as of late, Moore has been the only consistent source of offensive output in Carolina in recent years. His ability to pick up yards after the catch also makes him any quarterback's best friend. With the Panthers unlikely to find an elite passer anytime soon, that skill set makes him the perfect fit for Carolina's lackluster situation. Though the absence of a solid passer hinders his output, Moore's incredible production through four seasons makes him a locked-in WR2 for fantasy purposes.

Great signing. He's undervalued because their QB play has been so bad and he's had bad TD luck. Put a quality QB in Carolina and I could see DJ Moore hitting something like 95/1450/8.
I agree - he’s the most underrated WR in football. But he’ll be fairly rated until they get a QB such a waste of talent with CMC & Moore, and no QB.Great signing. Good point, Carolina won't be able to extract any of that value unless they fix the QB spot.I agree - he’s the most underrated WR in football. But he’ll be fairly rated until they get a QB such a waste of talent with CMC & Moore, and no QB.
Very consistent producer, made even more impressive by a lot of poor QB play. With a few more TDs, maybe this is the year he finally breaks into clear WR1 territory. Was shocked to see that thru 4 seasons, he had but 14 TD's.
His 3 yr average post rookie year 83/1175/4.
Most amount of TD's a WR has caught with Mayfield at QB? 6 - Jarvis Landry 2019.
Last year even with Sam Darnold at QB, Moore put up WR1 numbers through 4 games.Never owned Moore, but it seems he's over drafted every year. He has a nice floor, but where he is being draft one would think he would give you much more.
I’m not saying Mayfield is the next Peyton Manning. I’m saying he’s better than Darnold, and look what DJM did with Darnold.
I know what you are saying, but I'm saying I'm unsure that will make him elite. I don't think I would take him where he is going in drafts.I’m not saying Mayfield is the next Peyton Manning. I’m saying he’s better than Darnold, and look what DJM did with Darnold.
I’ll have to check his ADP, but if it’s reasonable (e.g. where I would take a 2nd or 3rd WR) I’d be willing to invest again. And I got burned last year. The talent is there.I know what you are saying, but I'm saying I'm unsure that will make him elite. I don't think I would take him where he is going in drafts.
FantasyPros has him at WR16 in redraft and WR14 in dynasty. Seems reasonable to me.I’ll have to check his ADP, but if it’s reasonable (e.g. where I would take a 2nd or 3rd WR) I’d be willing to invest again. And I got burned last year. The talent is there.
I’m in at that price all day.FantasyPros has him at WR16 in redraft and WR14 in dynasty. Seems reasonable to me.
I've personally got him 12th in redraft. I think something like 1100-8 is pretty doable. Probably some upside for more yardage too.zamboni said:FantasyPros has him at WR16 in redraft and WR14 in dynasty. Seems reasonable to me.
Yep... he's currently a Late 4th / Early 5th round guy with ADP around 48th (sleeper).zamboni said:FantasyPros has him at WR16 in redraft and WR14 in dynasty. Seems reasonable to me.
Considering he has had 1175,1193 and 1157 the last 3 years with absolute garbage QBs, Mayfield gives him a chance to get to the 1400 yard range. If he can get 6-8 TDS, he's top 5-6 in full PPR.I've personally got him 12th in redraft. I think something like 1100-8 is pretty doable. Probably some upside for more yardage too.
That’s right about what I suggested above (+/- 2 TD)I've personally got him 12th in redraft. I think something like 1100-8 is pretty doable. Probably some upside for more yardage too.
Only considerations for me on that list are Pittman & Scary Terry.Yep... he's currently a Late 4th / Early 5th round guy with ADP around 48th (sleeper).
McLaurin (41)
Metcalf (43)
Waddle (45)
Moore (48)
Pittman (50)
Cooper (51)
Jeudy (52)
I'm a big fan there as that puts him in WR2 range.
If he had 1000/6 I’d call that a value as a WR2-3. + upside for moreI don't know why people see this as an obvious upgrade for Moore. As a Clevelander, Baker has never made anyone on the offense fantasy relevant at the WR position.
It MIGHT be an upgrade but it's sure not a run to the computer and sent out offers upgrade
Edit....well one year OBJ and Landry each had 1000 yards. Yay
