NE homer here....NE spreads the ball around so much, that the closest thing to a "sure thing" in the NE recieving corps in TE Ben Watson. This, in my opinion, was NE getting an insurance policy if Branch should hold out until week 10. This transaction tells me that Branch has every intention of sitting out, and NE brass has every intention of letting him. NE brass sticks to thier system, with 2 exceptions: Brady and Seymour.

Gabriel's value is minimal in this system, although it does give Brady another deep threat.

hmm having picked up Gabriel a few days ago, this is a tough one... the two situations are like exact opposites of each other, you could probably make a case either way whether his value goes up or down with this move. Personally, I think it rises a bit.

With the injury to Maroney, you are probably right. Every WR in NE has SOME value, but it rises a bit if the threat of the running game isnt as intense. Dillon is solid, but fairly easy to game plan against at this point in his career.
