I have been trying to trade this turd all season in my dynasty league even after the past three games and literally zero interest from league mates not even as a throw in lol
In one of my redraft leagues, I was forced to start him and Addison with London out. Anyone else ever had the prestigious honor of getting two goose eggs from your WR1 and WR2?
I've started him five times this year for a 4.94 average. He's averaged 11.58 the six games he was on my bench. Has to be the most inconsistent player ever.
I think I only saw one crossing pattern target (which he took for about 40 yds only to be called back to an illegal man down field). He was a monster on those the last couple games. Why did they go away from that? It just make no sense to me.
They were in a dogfight with NYG - they probably had to adapt their gameplan on the fly. At one point, they went underneath to ARSB like 4-5 times straight I think. When in doubt, scrape and claw and go with what's working, try to win the game (which they did).
Jamo flashes just enough of that potential to get people sucked in. I was a big time believer in him coming out of college and had to reach to get him in my rookie draft (managers in it rarely trade so it's get your guy or miss out). Knew he'd provide nothing his rookie season, it was all about the long game. We only had a 6-game sample size of their 4th rounder ARSB being the only healthy target as data. I thought the Lions took him 12th overall to be their long term WR1. When it was clear ARSB wasn't going away I thought Jamo could be the 1B at least. The Lions thought differently.
I'll never understand an organization that invested 12th overall draft capital, a 5th year option, and top-15 WR money on a player like Jamo just so that Goff could do literally anything except throw the ball to him. Whoever's fault that is, I can't ever trust Jamo again. Goff, ARSB, Gibbs, and LaPorta are all not going away any time soon and Jamo isn't hitting free agency until 2030 at the earliest. I'm either trading or cutting him before next season. I'm not doing the Gabe Davis roller coaster ride again.
