WR Jayden Higgins, HOU (3 Viewers)

Ugh, he could NOT have been put in a more crowded WR room after the Noel pick too.

I'll love it for real football, but for fantasy, this butchered both guys, but STILL my WR2 in tis draft class

I'm not seeing a crowded WR room for Houston. Last year was a crowded rehab room. Nico has yet to play a full season or start more than 12 games. Tank, who knows. Diggs injured then gone. Hou was getting pretty desperate for bodies to line up wide last year. They needed to go WR heavy in this draft imo.

CJ can't throw to these guys if he's not upright
100% this. I'll throw it in the Higgins thread but really it applies to everyone on this team not named Nico.... I would not feel warm and fuzzy about this line. There was a point in the 2000s where I kept saying as a Steelers fan "well, it's not like our line could get worse". Spoiler alert, it could and it did. It was their number one draft need coming in, and with their 9 picks they took ONE, an OT, who Zierline graded out as "will eventually become an average starter". And this is after trading away their only highly graded lineman of the bunch Tunsil.

I'm avoiding this entire team in redraft. And again, outside Nico who should be able to survive on talent and a high target share, I wouldn't feel great about any of these guys doing much in dynasty for at least a year or two. It feels like their gameplan will be to have a top 6 defense again, control the clock, and keep games close and low scoring.

Cross posting from Texans thread

Clint Stoerner was talking about what he saw in mini camp, and he said Jaylin Noel was the receiver who was running routes that he thought would allow him to most immediately contribute in the NFL.

Also he apparently didn't have concerns about CJ's shoulder, though I didn't hear that segment, just heard the hosts refer to it later.
oh wow link or source? Would love to see here more on noel

I believe he was listening to Stoerner's radio show here in Houston
Yes it was local radio. Stoerner was on the morning show (Payne and Pendergast) as a guest though.

9:13:30 is where they start discussing the WRs. 9:16:40 is where he goes into Noel, but listen to the first part as well as Stoerner goes over Higgins fully first and where he thinks he may have work to do.

Suppose I should go post this in their player threads.

Jayden Higgins putting on a show early in 7 on 7:One handed catch for 30+ down sideline from Stroud inside five-yard-line.Followed by Mills hitting him on slant across middle for 15+ with LOTS of green in front of him.

C.J. Stroud threw a go ball to Jayden Higgins, who was covered tightly by Kamari Lassiter, but Higgins hauled it in with one hand . Perfect pass.Yeah, Higgins might end up being the truth.

Thanks, tossed out some lowball offers based on this news and was able to add Higgins in two leagues from apparently panicky owners.
