WR Josh Gordon, KC (5 Viewers)

Here is the $64,000 question: assuming you have accumulated some other nice options, what WRs would you SIT Gordon for? Full disclosure, I have him in three leagues and he's in all my starting lineups. I do have some really good players I'm sitting for him. Not saying who but curious what others think. One fanatsy show I caught said if you have top ten options you DO NOT play him that you can wait and see.

But he isn't a top ten option, he might be THE top ten option!

In any case, this thread might hit a new level if hilarity come 4:00.

@AdamSchefter: In first game back today after serving 10-game suspension, Browns WR Josh Gordon is expected to play between 20-30 plays, per league source.

Top option eh?

Yeesh

I hope he goes 10/200/2 but I am sitting him in 2 leagues where I have better options (r Jennings and l miller, both flexes) and playing him over Edelman in another. Too worried about 20 snaps.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport adds Gordon "will either start or be in quickly" with the Browns rotating him "in and out," yet they're open to playing Gordon more "if he's feeling good." Gordon can do damage on 20-30 snaps, though we might take the over on this. Browns-Falcons could be a shootout, but Cleveland could try and slow the pace by leaning on its run game. It's a volatile situation. Gordon is a must-start in season-long leagues, but is more of a tournament than cash play in DFS.

"open to playing him more"

all you need to know.

See you guys after the game.

xo

The second he steps on the field, nothing else matters for me.
May I suggest making football a lower priority in life?
on a Sunday? no.

Soulfly, take care brah an erection lasting longer then three hours requires medical attention. At least according to the commercials. :)

playing him over keenan allen.

playing him over niles paul and tamme in te premium.

not really confident and its playoffs in ffpc but oh well.

Sorry, I'll leave it here and then Im out for a while..

If Gordon is only "healthy" enough for 20 snaps. Don't play him.

What kind of stupidity is Pettine trying to pull here? If he can play 20, he can play 30. If he can play 30, he can play 40. and so on...

If he isnt healthy enough for a full snap count, or close to it, dont play him.

It's this line of thinking that makes me think it's all BS from Pettine. Does he wanna limit him a bit? Possibly... Will he? I dont think he will, or wont very much.

Will be a tight ### game, in the thick of a playoff race, and you wanna limit your best hope at a win?

Makes zero sense. Literally, zero... Especially if he's healthy

There is a difference in being healthy, and being in game shape.

MT @MaryKayCabot Pettine joked that Hoyer is like a kid with a new toy: "Somehow every time Gordon was out there the ball went to him.''
Maybe he plays 20 snaps and gets 20 targets.
Ya I think this is more accurate do you think the Browns can afford to just let Gordon sit there without being used? Its one thing if he doesn't know the playbook but I would assume he is up to speed on the play calling and has played with the QB before as well.

In the end I think the coach slipped up and it went something like this:

Reporter - "Coach how much are you going to get Gordon the ball"

Coach - "About 20"

Moment of silence

Coach - ".... snaps that is, I mean errrr ya 20 snaps"

Gordon is NOT coming off of an injury like Calvin Johnson was.

Gordon is NOT coming off an unknown timetable of return like AP is.

Gordon is coming back fully healthy knowing he was going to be back for this game.

While the coach wants to "limit" his snaps if its a close game how can you not have the best player on the team on the field?

20-30 snap talk is scaring me. In must win game....ugh
over working him, and having him pull a hammy in his first week back, scares me more.
Is he that out of shape? I just don't get this rationale as he is not coming off injury where he likely hasn't been working out. If anything there are reports saying he is in the best shape of his life.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11904899/cleveland-browns-wr-josh-gordon-returns-practice-first-suspension

"Gordon is back with the Browns to outwork the rest of the NFL's wide receivers and capitalize on being in the best shape of his life"

http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2014/11/josh_gordon_on_his_first_pract.html

"I wanted to make sure I was in the best shape of my life. Try to come out without missing a beat and pick up right where I left off last season."

22.5hrs from now, this thread will erupt when Gordon put in his first TD, from about 30-40yds out.

23.5hrs from now, we'll be all like "he already has 90yds/1 at half!!!

25hrs from now, we'll be drooling at his 150/2 on the day.

Joshua Caleb Gordon.
Reminder

Love u all.

See you later

This is such a trap .... Everyone is hoping a guy who hasn't played all season...is going to come out of the gates on Fire...

Risky Risky for today only

I had a dream he only put up about 4/43/0 but he also somehow rushed for 60 some yards so he ended up with 10 points. But my dreams never come true.

Pettine is a serious wild card folks.

Let's not forget, he benched his obvious best RB talent during winnable games that the offense struggled in and really could have used him, so who knows what happens.
