WR Julio Jones, Retired (1 Viewer)

Hard to say this. But that’s about the Most “disappointing” 6 for 118 I’ve seen in a while.

Ryan overthrew him for an easy long TD in the first. Then Julio drops a perfectly placed wide open 30-40 yarder in the 4th.

The opportunity was there for 200+ and 2 TDs and everyone saying HE’s BACK!

The good news is they seemed to realize that he needs to be targeted more.

I see on FBG's injury report that he's DTD with his ankle/knee.  When did he get hurt?  Did he finish the game?  Likely just limited this week and plays?

High ankle/ MCL mechanism is what Dr. Bramel shows.

He got dinged up real early. Maybe first quarter? Came out for a few plays and moved gingerly in the sidelines. Played through it though. Came out a couple times to stretch it out.  During the game i thought it nothing more than a bruise or tightness of some sort because it never looked serious.

Thanks, I saw the video of it, looked bad.

Oof yeah. Didn’t see that live, but i was watching at a Hooters so my eyes were probably elsewhere.

He played the rest of that game and looked good in the process moving and getting open. Doesn’t mean it didn’t swell up after the game and it’s something that could keep him out due to soreness.

But watching him the rest of that game i Have a hard time thinking it’s a major injury.

I don't know how to say this nicely, but I hope he doesn't play for a few weeks.  That way I can start guys who might actually do something to help my team.

He's not blowing up but 6-118-0 isn't hurting you is it? I have no other choice.  He does get banged up often.

FML DEZ and Julio and Richardson are my top 3WR
OMG I am in the exact same situation!
With Richardson "limited" tonight I had to drop him for Robert Woods in case 1 or both of Julio and Dez can't go. Sad.

Using Richardson figure if he was so limited he would be out. If anything maybe he will see lesser coverage and have a big game

I'm guessing you could make that happen if you really feel that way....
exactly, so many of these threads have the "reverse jink" thing going on.  Seems like many in the FF community are superstitious.  A lot of threads are started and you just know it'll go the opposite way with some of these takes.

With that being said,  Julio hasn't killed me, but he hasn't exploded.  I'm hoping it'll come.  If he wants to save those games for weeks 14-16 then awesome.

If he plays this weekend he is going to feast on Seattle's secondary.
Shaq Griffin isn't bad, but am I supposed to believe Jeremy Lane and the corpse of Byron Maxwell are going to stop Juilo? There are only 3 thing s that can stop Juilo Jones.

1) Steve Sarkisian

2) Matt Ryan

3) His ankle

Add Kam Chancellor is out, and a hobbled Earl Thomas.

Seems like SEA is running out of DBs and Julio still can't get off? That ankle must be a serious handicap.

I expected to see ATL spraying balls all over the field.
The coaching and play calling are biggest things holding him back.   The defense is also rolling coverage toward Julio often.

So glad I moved him this week in my dynasty league.  Wanted off this train for a long time and finally got some value out of it.

Traded him for Russell Wilson a couple weeks back (super-flex league) feeling pretty good about that decision.

If you look at Julio's numbers he's actually produced low WR1 value since he's consistently hit a floor of around 7 FPs a game outside of 2 games... the issue is he's supposed to be an elite WR1 but he's yet to approach his ceiling. I don't think he's a bust like some people think (busts to me are like AR15 last year) but... yeah. Rough season for Juilo owners if you have him as your WR1.

Julio Jones (ankle, knee) wasn't listed on the Falcons' final injury report for Week 12 against the Buccaneers.

Jones was limited at practice this week, though his status for Sunday's game was never in doubt. It's been a frustrating season for Jones, who has only topped 100 yards twice with one touchdown. Luckily for him he gets a cake matchup against a Bucs team that has allowed the second-most passing yards in football this year. Fire him up as a WR1 wherever you have him.
