Baker and the O put up 42 pts. Maybe they are not the issue…He must be hated by Baker and/or the team. I mean there is no logical explanation why he's not a part of the offense if he's healthy.

Odell Beckham (shoulder) is questionable for Thursday night's Week 7 game against the Broncos.
OBJ was "DNP" all week as he tries to battle through a sprained AC joint. He's expected to take this right up to game time tomorrow night. If Beckham can't play, look for Donovan Peoples-Jones and Rashard Higgins to be Case Keenum's top wideouts.

I kinda feel like Keenum might be an improvement over the Baker we've seen so far this year. He hasn't done Beckham any favors.Even if he does play, he's got Keenum throwing the ball and it's a Thursday night game. I will probably be benching him for AJ Green.
Maybe he should propose to the kicking net again. Now he's back....and barking at himself. Whatever it takes I guess.
Odell Beckham caught 2-of-6 targets for 23 yards in the Browns' Week 7 win over the Broncos.
Playing hurt, Beckham had a night to forget, committing a drop, getting flagged for illegal formation and nearly creating an interception after falling. All of that happened before halftime. Beckham at one point also landed directly on his troublesome right shoulder and appeared to be in an immense amount of pain. He nevertheless remained in the game. With Baker Mayfield's (shoulder) outlook uncertain and Jarvis Landry back from his knee injury, it's hard to view Beckham as more than a WR4 for Week 8 against the Steelers.

Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot reports Odell Beckham is "not planning to have surgery on either of his injured shoulders during the season."
Beckham has been playing through troublesome injuries to both of his shoulders. He left the Browns' Week 7 win over the Broncos before halftime after falling on his already-injured, right shoulder but was able to return for the second half. Beckham's time in Cleveland has been marred by injuries and lackluster production but he's consistently played through issues for a receiver-needy offense this year. Even if he's far removed from his prime, his presence will be required for the Browns to have success through the air. The Browns are down to Case Keenum under center with Baker Mayfield currently nursing a shoulder injury of his own. Keenum leaned on Beckham and Jarvis Landry in his first start, targeting the duo on 14 of his 33 pass attempts. Expect a similar approach from the veteran passer going forward.

his upside is serviceable and his downside is zero…..Seeing him being dropped.
Is everyone bailing? Worth a flyer?
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Odell Beckham (shoulder, questionable) "should be good to go" for Week 8 against the Steelers.
Beckham is dealing with an AC joint sprain among other reported injuries to his shoulder. He got in a limited practice on Friday. Beckham has struggled to get on the same page as Baker Mayfield or Case Keenum this year. He's averaging 6.8 yards per target and peaked at 79 yards two weeks ago. Expect the Browns to opt for their typical, run-heavy approach in Mayfield's first game back from his own shoulder injury. That should keep Beckham in the WR4 range until he proves he can reliably connect with Mayfield.

Odell Beckham caught his only target for six yards in the Browns' Week 8 loss to the Steelers.
Beckham certainly got his cardio in on Sunday, running meaningless route after meaningless route as Baker Mayfield looked anywhere else in a poor outing by the entire Cleveland offense. Mayfield took a shot to Beckham in the second half that sailed incomplete and would've been called back on a penalty. Beckham didn't have much interest in catching the ball in traffic anyway. He now has less than 30 receiving yards in four of his past five outings. Beckham will be a WR4/5 in Week 9 against the Bengals.

Can't say definitively from the tv view, but it sure didn't look like the Steelers secondary paid much attention to the deep threat after the first drive. They appeared flat footed and only playing down hill, trusting that the Browns wouldn't even try to go vertical. The only time I recall that they did Baker was high (a theme) on a pass in which Beckham then gave no effort to go get.Is he helping his team at all by trotting himself out there every week?
ESPN's Dianna Russini reports the Browns have "no plans" to trade Odell Beckham before the NFL's 4 p.m. trade deadline.
Russini said there "haven’t been any offers that would make sense for the organization" ahead of the trade deadline. That means, of course, there were offers for Beckham, who will be 29 this week and has had a disastrous two and a half seasons in Cleveland. Probably no team wants to take on OBJ's monster contract, which includes a $15 million cap hit in 2022 and 2023. Beckham has less than 30 receiving yards in four of his past five outings for the Browns. He simply isn't part of the team's game plan even when the Browns fall behind and are forced into a pass-heavy game script. OBJ is signed through the 2023 season. He could be another team's reclamation project before then.

He does look open a lot. Not sure what Baker is doing on a lot of these plays.
ESPN's Kimberley Martin reports the Saints and Browns discussed an Odell Beckham trade ahead of Tuesday's deadline.
The sides weren't able to come to an agreement given Beckham's prohibitive salary. OBJ doesn't want to be in Cleveland any longer, but Tuesday's 4 PM ET deadline came and went without a deal. The Browns reportedly are "optimistic" Beckham can be part of their playoff push, but that remains to be seen after OBJ's dad publicly trashed Baker Mayfield in an effort to get his son out of Cleveland. It's clear Beckham won't be part of the Browns come 2022. The Saints' interest can be filed away for future reference. OBJ played his college ball at LSU.

Browns' Odell Beckham Jr. won't practice Wednesday and he appears to be on his way out of ClevelandIt would appear the team told him to go home today instead of practice. Team decision to be clear, not Odell's.
Michael Silver reports Browns coach Kevin Stefanski told players that Odell Beckham "is essentially not on the team right now."
Silver added that Stefanski informed players the team told Beckham to stay home which explains why he wasn't at practice today. All signs point to the disgruntled receiver being done in Cleveland. Rumors swirled around possible trades for the former star but nothing materialized ahead of Tuesday's deadline. The Saints were reportedly interested in him but didn't want to take on much of his salary. If he is cut by Cleveland, Beckham will land on waivers where teams can claim him and his lofty contract. If he clears waivers, the Browns will eat the remainder of his dead cap hit and Beckham will become a free agent. Beckham's situation remains in flux but fantasy managers can plan on being without him for Week 9.

Yeah the whole thing seems a bit weird. They say they want him involved, but don't involve him. They refuse to trade him with interested team(s), then the day after the trade deadline deactivate him. Hard to figure out what's going on here (for me at least.)Seems like they should have traded him, even if it were for below what they wanted.
Uninformed opinion - I think the Browns would have needed to give additional compensation for another team to take on the contract. If someone were willing to take on the dollars I think the Browns would have accepted just about anything. I think we're here because there wasn't an interested partner.Seems like they should have traded him, even if it were for below what they wanted.
Way too brief retort - from what I've learned about Stefanski's offense he bears some of the blame. The scheme involves players being in a particular spot based on the quarterback's pre and post snap reads. What makes Odell special is his ability to improvise. This is an oil-and-water combination. His improv leads to him not being in the correct spot on time and Stefanski (and Baker) have not successfully figured out a way to integrate that into the scheme. Odell has routinely been open throughout the season, but it's not been within the structure of the offense.i wonder if this guy is actually that good...he hasn't had a great season in a bit and seems like a headache
